SW Squadrons looks like crap on my quest 3. The starfield is all pixelated and blurry. Not sure why.

What sort of systems, headsets etc do I need for these.

Is this standalone with the quest or are you on a pc ?

I'ved changed gpus for years trying to get my 8kx to play nice at native resolution, always end up having to lowering it. The native resolution is super nice, however, I get motion sickness from anything below 90fps, so that's that. I'm glad I skipped the rtx 4090, was not worth the price at all.

The VR hand interaction are the sort of advances we all expected from FS2024. What we actually got was vastly inferior to FS2020, with no fixes promised till a minimum of June in Sim Update 2

Is the soaring weather realistic with thermals and waves and ridge lift? I am only interested in the gliders. It’s the only way to fly.

I use the same computer for msfs2020 and msfs2024 . Msfs 2020 runs smooth like butter at 60 fps . Meanwhile, msfs2024 almost fries that same computer. Right now, I just let msfs2024 sitting there collecting dust . I think msfs2024 needs a new computer but I am still thinking if it deserves a very expensive computer or not ?

They should connect this to the 3d pilot model so we can give hand signals to wingmen.

Kunos has years and years of experience. How can they release this crap? I figured they'd learn something from ACC, but NO. This should have been released as a beta for free, then tested by the community, and after that they could charge. This is not what I would consider an early release. Feels more like a scam just to get money. FAIL!!!

I'm sorry but the NYC scenery is an absolute joke compared to MSFS. It completely destroys any sense of immersion that can be gained in VR. Only after seeing this again do you realize what a masterpiece MSFS really is.

Did you restart the game after choosing Ultra? I found that many of the options don't take effect until you restart the game.

I have Aerofly. It is very smooth, but the physics don't feel real to me, and I have a lot of VR flight sim experience.

No, it's not real at all. I still don't understand why they make these games and everything is seen in a wide angle, when the human eye is not like that. You don't see the world in a wide angle, understand that once and for all.

Simulator is pronounced "Sim-You-Later", not "Sim-Uh-Later".

They lost me with v2. Nothing worked. Even if VR is better at the moment, there will never be serious planes like Fenix 320 included. Just eye candy is not enough.

cheers for the insight. from watching multiple VR Streams yesterday its quite clear its shocking in VR. It was so depressing to see how bad it was i didnt even bother loading it up. Just in regards of setting to 90 FPS if its this bad. Leaving it at 60 fps max and then concentrating on get CPU and CPU response times less than 13 seconds will remove any laggyness. Frames are less important in VR after 60FPs . it the Response times of the CPU and GPU that actually make it appear smoother .
