I run an Oculus Rift, set to ASW 18 frames per second, which sounds horrific, but it's totally smooth as the ASW fills in the missing frames to make it a native 90 fps. This means that my old 1070 can cruise along at 65% usage and I can have the visuals up on high. So you don't necessarily need a powerful rig for this.

@@fifahollandia8112 Oh, it's "Asynchronous Space Warp", fancy name for filling in frames between frames. I think that it essentially compares the last few frames to predict what the next frames will be, saving them having to be created by the game.

By default the Oculus Rift uses ASW if the frame rate drops below 90fps and can lock to half frame rate of 45fps, but you can run a command to lock it to 30fps or 18fps. I lock it to 18fps so that the GPU can chill as it's old and also to keep a constant fps. I play MSFS2020 on 18fps as well and it's a great experience.

No native VR, it's called Dovetail games, lazy devs have no interest in VR, that requires more work. Which is why I don't buy any of their stuff anymore. I use to be a "Train Sim" fan before VR, and like you said, these train sims would be a blast in VR, but Nooooooo Dovetail games don't wanna! 🤨

The second you mention "lazy devs", you destroy your own credibility and nothing that follows is worth reading. The game dev industry has one of the highest burn out rates in the world. You not understanding what is really going on doesn't make everyone else is lazy. Maybe you need to actually look into the situation?

only probs with click to the switches, cant aim to the switches like brake key or lights etc

Train Sim VR is coming to Meta Quest but not like this I am afraid. Will still play it though because it will have the immersive controls this one needs.

they are, its called Train Sim World VR, and its specifically a dumbed down version of the Harlem Line DLC for it and is only available on Quest.
