I’m focusing on losing weight but with a healthy focus. I am focusing on eating healthy and moving more. I am counting calories although the counter says 1700 calories I’m allowing for 2000. I don’t want to lose Al the weight plus muscle like I have in the past. I don’t want to eliminate whole food groups or fear potatoes. I don’t want want or focus on more Whole Foods but I am in no way a cook from scratch gal. I did make my own salad dressing to say which I’ve spent most of my life refusing to do even when I ate 1200 calories, no sugar, alcohol, low carbs. I have my favorite bottled one but I wanted Greek not Balsamic. I want to have the energy to exercise, lift weights and hope this helps me recover better.

Wow, I really liked Abbey and her content but seeing this is just so distasteful and disappointing. Jessie explains in interviews her input on glucose just like a lot of other “dietitians & nutritionists” do as well and what’s worked for her in her journey along with studies she found Interesting on the topic. Why bash her when she never says “don’t eat fruit” or “don’t eat chocolate” she just puts into perspective other small things that can be done to help those who may not have had success other ways. Jessie even says it she doesn’t want to tell people what to do but when trying these to adept to what they see fits them best. Absolutely all for making a video providing your opinion based on your education regarding the interview but maybe simple education just doesn’t get the views like bashing someone else does lol.

Liver is the most nutrient dense food. What minerals is he deficient in? Also the whole a LDL approach is brainwashing. You need to cholesterol to make hormones. They want us to think this is bad to keep us sick. Yes there’s plenty of evidence showing nutrition being lost when cooking also. It has nothing to do with the enzymes when going raw. In fact most plants we don’t have the enzymes to probably digest their nutrients and most plants contain enzyme inhibitors.

If you really don’t want to use the glucola for whatever reasons there is an alternative called The Fresh Test! I needed to use it for medical reasons (explain below) but I love that it is natural, completely open about all ingredients, and it tastes WAY better! Highly recommend! (I am allergic to some citrus and since glucola is for medical purposes it doesn’t need to have a full ingredient list. If you call and ask they say they don’t know what the flavor syrup ingredients are so you need to contact the manufacturer of the flavor syrup and that is ridiculously difficult. Had to do it for my first pregnancy before Fresh Test was around and it took 2 months of phone calls 🙃)

First of all if you get glucose drops it most likely indicates that you have high insulin level and insulin resistance. People with normal levels of insulin don't get glucose drops even when we fast for days. So, if you get glucose drops, you better start watching your diet whether you have a partner or not.

What might help everyone who judges fat people is to remember that many times food is used as a “drug”. We never know what trauma anyone has gone through or what means they have turned to in order to deal with it along the way, especially if it all started when they were very young. Compassion and caring helps. Judging and shaming and shunning does not!

I am so sorry you are going thru this, it is really hard for all of us going thru hair loss... :( Now, if you are 36, I very highly recommend looking into the perimenopause symptoms and options of treatments. In fact, all women above 35 will benefit reading about perimenopause, because when it hits, it hits HARD, and sooner than we think. And it's been overlooked for too long. Personally, nothing really worked until I started taking estrogen and progesterone, as part of perimenopause treatment. 3 months later, my hair was growing back as if nothing happened! I am now 40, and looking back I can say that all my skin and scalp issues, worsen of ADHD symptoms, irritability, anger, etc started around 36-37 years old.

I'm going to be honest and DOCTORs and especially nurses talk about gestational diabetes like its a moral failing on the mother I have been written up for going on my own and telling the women that they did nothing wrong that this is just a change for the pregnancy to keep them healthy because I'm "Not a doctor" But what am I supposed to do watch these doctors and nurses make faces and tell them to "Not Eat Soooo much sugar or Sodas" or my Least favorite "Giving in to those pregnancy 'craveings'" and just be ok with it???? I feel awful because I "pass" all the test and I'm sick and unhealthy and I know that some of us just are lucky and that these test are just a part in the bigger picture of health

@26:43: Shelf-stable foods can pose health risks due to the following factors: 1. Chemical Additives and Packaging: • Chemicals like BPA, phthalates, and PFAS from food packaging can leach into foods, disrupting hormones and increasing risks of cancer, diabetes, and reproductive issues. • Synthetic preservatives like TBHQ, BHT, and BHA in processed foods may have carcinogenic, neurotoxic, or endocrine-disrupting effects. 2. Microbial Risks: • Improperly canned foods can harbor Clostridium botulinum, producing a deadly toxin that causes botulism.

Once in the brain, glyphosate can elevate pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and increase the accumulation of beta-amyloid proteins, which are associated with neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. These findings suggest that glyphosate exposure may contribute to neuroinflammation and disruption of neural functions.

@8:15: Studies indicate that glyphosate primarily accumulates in the liver, kidneys, and intestines and when estrogen-like compounds accumulate in the liver in large amounts, they can disrupt normal liver function and lipid metabolism. Excessive estrogen exposure may strain hepatic processes, potentially contributing to metabolic imbalances. Glyphosate can cross the blood-brain barrier.

Calorie density works! I started to push myself to eat a big salad on pizza night and amazed at how full I got! Literally after we ordered delivery, I would get to work chopping my salad. I would eat a huge bowl of it with my fave dressing before the pizza even got delivered. By the time the food came, I was barely able to eat 2 slices as my stomach felt so full! Great thing was, I still felt satisfied because I wasn’t depriving myself… and never tried to only eat a certain number of slices or calorie count. I literally just made sure to eat my veggies first & it naturally curbed my appetite. Amazing… it takes some time to build the habit, but once you do it’s a game changer!

@5:37: Saturated fatty acids lack double bonds, making them chemically stable and less prone to oxidation. In contrast, unsaturated fatty acids, particularly polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), contain one or more double bonds that introduce kinks in their structure, preventing tight packing and increasing reactivity. These double bonds are prone to oxidation, especially in PUFAs, due to their high electron density. In other words vegetable oils and seed oils are PUFA and throw off electrons which damage cells and tissues that cause high levels of inflammation.
