Reminds me of the photo of the starving African toddler and the vulture waiting for her to die. Real sad photo... then you remember that there's someone holding the camera
@puffpuffpassmako8 күн бұрын
While sad they genuinely CANT help. The people usually are infected with disease or cause the animals to attack the camera man too. Also crews like this have tried to help but it never works. There was this one time Natiomal Geographic brought a ton of food for the starving village. The people ended up attacking the crew and then attacking each other over the food. So they all said "screw it you're on your own"
@Octopugilist8 күн бұрын
@@puffpuffpassmako Believe me, it wasn't a condemnation. Documenting horrific things means steeling yourself against them. That's exactly why it's so important to document them. The photographer in question said he had to step over dozens of corpses to get to the little girl and the vulture. He'd seen rivers choked with bodies and crocodiles so fat they could hardly move. Women and girls as young as 6 collared like dogs and sold. 12 year old boys with dead eyes and numbers scratched on their skin to count how many men they'd killed. Not long after the photo gained international attention he took his own life. The things he saw and got used to seeing were too much to take anymore.
