Do you know if separating the case on an automatic “BAYA” is the same process? Also, do they require a gasket or just RTV when reinstalling? I have an 06 Accord Coupe automatic with 245k miles & the transmission starts slipping after it’s warmed up. So I purchased a wrecked low mileage sedan to swap the engine & transmission but I recently noticed that the transmission mount broke off the case & broke the case during the accident. So my plane is to swap my original transmission case onto the donor.

@@RealWorldBuilds everything else should be the same. Your trigger angle maybe slightly different depending on which sensor you use. I believe that motor uses 2 crank sensors. You’ll only need one. I’d use the one and the same position as the j35a4. But I also believe the tdc mark on the pulley is on the back bank. I’d make a new mark on the front. It’ll make it easier zeroing out your timing. They hold the main and countershaft in the trans from flexing. When the shafts start to flex the gears move away from each other and that’s how you start breaking teeth.

Question I noticed you tapped the factory fuse panel which was hot at key on but that fuse is 20amps. The 3 amp fuse tap on it powers the main relay. How does a 3 amp fuse power a 40amp relay? I thought the main relay, ecu, fuel pump relay would need more than 3amps Thx
@soullesssol72859 ай бұрын
The 3amp current only activates the coil on the new main relay. The power comes from the battery through the new main relay to the new fuse panel.(ps I would use a slightly bigger main relay like the 100amp, as the 40 is enough but get pretty hot. I have been running for a few years but it’s definitely not going to have a long life).

Nice was this on batch fire on microsquirt? Trying to figure out if in batch fire two banks fire each three cylinders
@soullesssol72859 ай бұрын
Yes. It’s batch injection. So the front bank 3 injectors fire them 360 degree crank rotation the rear bank 3 injectors fire. Then it’s wasted spark so 2 paired cylinders spark at a time. One during power stroke, one during exhaust stroke.

It is a Hall Effect sensor that picks up the RPM and crank position. When I turn over the engine I seem to get random firing on all the spark plugs. They kinda look like they are all firing at the same time. With the crank sensor and the RPM sensor tied together the wave form seems to be correct, however, the RPM signal is only 2.3 volts DC while the crank signal is 5 vdc. anyway if you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it Thanks

Yes, it deletes 6th. It holds the main/counter shafts tighter to keep them from spreading which causes the gears to bind and break teeth off. P2r also sells a 5th delete if you want to keep 6th. Both 5th and 6th are overdrive gears
