I do all that then try to inflate it and the air just comes out from the side of the tire and I use a compressor.

Muc off dry lube is shit, I have used it for 1 year. Never again. The chain was dry as a pepper. First few km the lube is OK, then it dryes out and does damage to your chain. From now one I will use oil based lubricants

Hello, Have you done any testing of Tri-Flow. I'm mainly interested in the wear test. I know it collects dirt so I only use it on my road bike and is nice and quiet. Finish Line Dry Ceramic is another one I'd be curious about on the wear test. Thanks and great work!

Aww, I really wanted to know how the super-cheap no-name poor-quality version that you didn't test worked out! 😁 In the 2 years since this video was made things have changed a bit, and I've seen generic (cloned) cleaners in blue or black plastic on sale for between £4 and £7, which is less than the cost of a set of replacement brushes for one of the better models on test. Cheap and nasty, yes, but mainly CHEAP. And you can get a set of [equally cheap and nasty] replacement brushes for under £2. Of course, that assumes that the cleaner itself will survive long enough to need them. The budget cleaners are apparently moulded from ABS, which is pretty tough stuff, so maybe they're worth a closer look. Whatever. People spend more than that on a box of disposable hand-wipes, so it's tempting to experiment with a dodgy cleaner and treat it almost like a consumable item. Work it to death and either swap the brushes or replace the whole thing a couple of times a year, perhaps?🤔

Pro tip: remove the valve core, put in 1/4 bottle of Flatout sealant with Kevlar, keep the screwdriver in the tire. Fill with air, pull the screwdriver from the tire and spin the wheel. Centrifugal force will fill that pin hole easy peasy.

I think you bought eight of the most popular chain lubricants, because just like many other channels on YT, you're intentionally or unwittingly an advertiser for the biking industry. I suggest you do a quick search and you'll discover hot waxing with plain old parrafin wax, with 1.6micron PTFE powder, is not only immensely superior to ANY manufactured lube, but doesn't cost anywhere near these intentionally overpriced products.

Thx for sharing. I can share a story too. I broke my collar bone in Feb skiing. The hospital chose to put a figure of 8 strap on me rather than a sling. In the following 7 days after my break the arm on the broken side started to swell and a lot. I returned to hospital 3 days after the break and was told it was due to the trauma. After 7 days I went back and they kept me in. An ultrasound showed I had developed a DVT in my upper arm near the break. I had to stay in hospital for 7 days and was on an IV drip of blood thinners and pain relief. They never got to the bottom of why I had a DVT but the traumatologist suspected that it was the tightness of the 8 strap. I am slim and just 51 years old. No other injuries from the accident, I was told that with those factors the break defiantly did not cause the DVT and it was down to the strap. I have just finished 3 months of blood thinners so waiting to see if my arm starts swelling again. I have an appointment with the vascular surgeon in 3 weeks time. It doesn’t look they will operate on me but I have a sizeable lump where it broke about the size of a sprout. Not impressed at all and folks, avoid a figure of 8 strap. Go with a sling. Hope that helps.

Hi, you are welcome! It varies per tire volume/size. I can't recall how much was used for this particular tire. Your sealant should tell you how much on the bottle. -Eddie

I would recommend to take the cheapest working digital pressure gauge. I have been using the Topeak for a few years, its still working but the readings are off. Im pretty sure the reason is the tyre sealant that build up with time. There is no way you can clean it, the head is sealed. For the price of the Topeak I would buy 2-3 schwalbe. You can extend the life of the gauge if you release a little air before measuring, if there is a sealant buildup it will squirt.

Lots of detail in this testing but the best chain treatment wasn’t even in the running and that’s the white lightning blue (clean ride) by far the best I’ve ever used for shedding dirt and keeping your chain and gears quiet and clean from their first day to their last. 🤙

@@SimplyMountainBiking If it gets cleaned off and re-lubed after every ride, what does it matter if it's a premium product or not? I ride Appalachian trails which are going to be muddy every time, so a premium lube is going to represent almost no value to a user in those conditions when the chain is caked in mud. Also, the stuff at Walmart is a different version than what you test here. They have a dry Easy Lube (now sold as Clean Ride) and a Wet Ride. Maybe you can test their other variants next time and see if you like those any better.
