Thanks for bringing up old memories. Seeing the Integra street race reminds me of racing around Richmond BC especially at Garage 5. A tiny little street...it was so sketchy. I had an EF Civic Si with a D16Z6 with Lightspeed header, intake and HKS exhaust, and a NOS 60 shot dry nitrous. So much fun. It did well but eventually turbos became more common and they would pull away in 3rd. Then I ditched the single cam for a B20 VTEC with a small turbo and ran it at 10 psi. That had me competitive again.

If i ever do start another project it will definitely be a civic from this era.

Easiest way with the t brackets is to slip it in while the engine is still on the table before you put the engine and trans mounts in. Actually in some situations you can have the engine far enough forward that you can leave it attached to the motor and trans. Clear the subframe and slide it backwards

lol, no matter how hard you try, it's always easier to put the T bracket in first, before putting the engine in. I've made that mistake, and I know others have. Live and learn! B series and EG/EK civics are the way to go. I know K's make great power, and at this point, the swap cost are about the same. BUT I still say the B16 and B18 are the best options. The sound, the look, it just works right!
