Made me laugh, we do three months at a time with a 12 litre on board tank, so everything you described we do😂. Ps. Tip for Norway and other countries a really good source of showers are Marinas which have them for the sailing etc, we used plenty in Norway.

I had the misfortune of knocking the fresh water drain off my fresh water tank, as a temporary measure to be able to fill up with water I got a wine bottle cork and wrapped some plastic electrical tape round it to pack it out to the correct size, then plugged the tank drain outlet with it. It worked till I could do a permanent repair. But in the mean time I could use the water tank as normal, except for draining it.

Thanks for the update 👍Until recently we had no built in water in our camper but have recently added a 25 litre carrier and a battery powered tap which has been a revelation. We find the combination of kitchen paper and baby wipes as a good alternative for washing up if you don’t have any water. Huggies water are our preference as they are strong and have a decent amount of liquid. Don’t let mishaps like this stop you there is always a way 🤔

Great advice, and thanks for giving us all confidence that very little is insurmountable. We carry baby wipes for just such an eventuality, and we do have dry shampoo, but that was principally for a smelly dog!

I always keep a 10 litre water container of fresh drinking water in an external locker. It keeps the water cool and I refill a jug and drink bottles from it. I just refill it as necessary or top up beforehand if I'm planning to be off grid.

As a frequent traveller on the NC 500 ( my job takes me on it a lot 0 I am often surprised at the bare faced stupidity of some people, lst summer near smoo cave I parked overnight ( tacho break ) and awoke early in the morning to find a gaggle of motorhomes had commandeered the car park, that was ok until 2 of them decided to empty their toilet containers next to the bins, I noted their numbers and reported the matter to the police, I'm not sure of the outcome but fellow travellers please be respectful and the roads will be welcoming to us in the future🤮

A downside of all of this is that it will replace passport stamping and a number of vacationers like getting their passports stamped. A disappointment there. Also, the ETIAS is actually a visa waiver. More confusion there. Visas are applied for at embassies or consulates. And another thing that is not clear is when is all of this going to start? EES has been delayed again, with no new start date, meaning ETIAS will be delayed starting. And I'm hearing that when ETIAS starts, there MAY be a grace period. I've also heard once it starts, you better have it, or you probably won't get passed the check-in counter. And if you somehow make it passed the check-in counter, you might get sent back at your first point of entry in the EU, Will their be a grace period or not? So many people don't know about the ETIAS.

I love my Ecoflow River 2 Pro. As I don’t have a 12v system in my van, I use it to power my Dometic portable 21 ltr fridge, ipad, iphone,kettle and electric hob. The latter two are power hungry but that’s fine as I can charge the power station from the cigarette lighter outlet when I am travelling. I use usb powered lights, tap and fan which can also be charged from the Ecoflow. It is a game changer.

What a bloody great video.... With most of the facts cleared, And not a ott talk, just a plain proper talk on pro and cons.,..... The only con about pre build lifepo4 batteries are "some" will seam to fade off in ahs in a short time. IV done 4 of these and 9 server racks units.... The cells inside fall out of balance. Now the BMS is ment to deal with this not all can do so coz of "c" rates of charge discharge...... This is why my home system is fully built myself.....

Hi, I’ve been following your channel for about 4 months now. You give really great advice and your videos are really engaging. I’ve been thinking of a campervan for a long time now. One of my key needs is that I can store a motorcycle onboard and be able to sleep without removing it. So something like the Adria Twin Max 680SGX. I have a quick few questions if you don’t mind - have you ever felt the need for 4x4? Also have you ever felt the need for an auto levelling system? Finally, how do you secure your motorcycles on your trailer so they don’t get stolen? Thanks!

The great thing about the River 2 Max is if you have access to mains power, it only takes an hour to charge! Awesome piece of kit :)
@cmoreton2911Ай бұрын
Hi Kat, I have the River2 Pro and love it...and I do charge the van up with the pro by plugging the hookup cable into the van with a 3 pin adapter into the pro. Works fantastically... I also find it charges really well whilst driving plugged into cigarette lighter socket on the van at 100w...so a couple of hours of driving gives it a good old boost. I also have a portable solar panel for sunnier times when parked up. I use it all the time around the house and garden too... I wouldn't be without it!

Hi Kat, I know this video is a year old now. I have just seen this October 10th 2024 for the first time. Real great video. I have purchased 2 for my brand new 6 meter Elddis Majestic 135 motorhome to be fitted. it has a forward door and rear dinette / bed, and I have let the dealer have them to be fitted. I am hoping one will be fitted around the bed / dinette and the other by the entry / exit door. I would like to see motorhome manufacturers fit these rather than extinguishers on safety grounds. Also, does a the annual full HAB. check include fire extinguisher service, probably not. Great video, thanks
