Of course all 3 were caught off camera. But it happened. 😊

Just recently tried remora in a taco (video out soon) and it was actually pretty darn good. Not a whole lot of yield, but I would eat it again!

The W D-40 will break down your grease and wash it off your gears,. It is a degreasing agent. You should only clean your reel with it then wipe it out of your reel and use reel grease and oil to lube your reel. the WD-40 will eventually evaporate. After it has washed the grease off your gears and leave your gears dry and prone to rust and corrode.

Hell yeah. That’s a good way to do it . Maybe $10 in parts at a hardware store vs $200 carrier tool. I’ll try it out tomorrow

Nice video, thanks for posting this. I have a unit I bought in 2011, and now it's 2022. The self-test still shows three flashes of the LED, which means it's still fully charged. (The number of flashes is from 0 to 3, giving a measure of its charge.) Amazing how long these batteries last. Personally, I don't plan to worry about the battery charge until the self-test shows fewer than three flashes.

Curious if it is OK to add a dab of Super Glue to the finished knot? Will it damage the fluorocarbon or braid? Also, anyone seen any slippage with the newer, slicker braid?

I used to live at the Cape and commercially fished out of the Port back in the 70's and 80's when the area you are showing was a dirt parking lot....AND there were lots of fishing boats. It's a shame the Disney Corp had to buy everything up and RUIN IT ALL. And that is my opinion. We had a huge boat ramp ( not where it is today ) that had sort of a open pavilion with picnic tables under it for the locals to hang out. What a fun time back then being there. Surely missed it when I returned in 2017 from out of state and saw what it is today.

I saw a video where the guy used air pressure. I was skeptical until I tried it. Blew me away. I had tried heat, a puller on steroids, and it wouldn’t budge. I applied a little air to it through the lube fill hole (I made a special fitting), and it not only came loose, it flew out 3 feet. I am now a believer.

Were you really rebuilding that on a paper magazine? High static damage risk, better off with a grounding wrist strap on a grounded mat. Just a thought.

He is correct ,static charge is always a major concern when working on sensitive electronics
