People generally want to be outside during the summer months, so it's okay if you don't pick up a book during that time period.

I love me psychological and demented horror, but this doesn't sound like it. This book sounds like straight up pedo torture porn. Gonna skip. Author should be investigated.
@yanderehypnolights22 күн бұрын
It's genuinely just torture porn and how they brought in a literal child and then FETUS and then assaulted and killed the fetus made me wants to perish. Like I love horror, but this isn't horror, it's torture porn and I only continued reading because I was praying something good at the end happened, but instead she just watches her baby get assaulted and killed and continues going with it. Which is insane! She barely fought at all and it just made me want to see the author get arrested.

What the heck were you reading? You have a lot of the details wrong. Her name is Georgie. No one was put into space. Sorry couldn't listen to all of you. Hope you got more details right.

The plot is so good too, I couldn't stop reading. I'm currently on ch.141. The mangaka knows how to use characters to their potential, it's been a while since I read a bl manga like this.

I just read this book, and I wanted to get a better understanding of it and I came across your video. I loved the way you broke it down. You spoke very well and you seem very intelligent. I wanted to get your opinion on the part where one of the teenagers got bit by one of the puppies. What ever happened with that?? Why was nothing explained further? Was there some kind of hidden meaning or message behind it? It seems like something that should have been at least mentioned later on considering the part about a virus that's transmitted through bite and scratch.

Lily Mayne is such a great storyteller. My favourite of her's is a alone retelling of Bluebeard. It's called Death's Bloom. Also the Folk trilogy is fantastic.

I read it... and then put it in a free library box along with other extreme horrors as I didn't feel comfortable donating them to a charity shop. Haha This was around Halloween too near a university building so I'm sure I ended up scarring some kids or uni students haha :p

As much as this was disturbing and disgusting... I did really like the series. I liked the through line between them and that none have a happy ending. No one gets out alive no matter what... physically and/or mentally.

I’ve read a lot of splatter and Broken Dolls is one of my favorites because of the fact that it doesn’t have a happy ending or comeback. Currently about halfway through Deliverance now and loving it so far!

I’ve read the book 75% through and I accidentally spoiled the ending for myself with Jude, I know what happens, but I do also know that there’s a lot that builds up to that scene, i cry at things that are relatable to me, like trigger warning of self harm

If you’re envisioning Miike Flanagan make an adaptation (which i also thought he should while reading it) you might have to envision the usual actors he casts on his anthology like projects. It’s also so funny how you mentioned Ariana’s song on the trailer for Fantasy Island which sampled Favourite Things which, like 16 Going On 17, were songs from The Sound Of Music.

🍗🍖🥩 I read this ages ago and it really messed with my head, but the way Mai's regeneration works is so interesting to me. There's a little post-story comic where Kaede says that Mai can only permanently die if her entire body is destroyed, and demonstrates by throwing her into a furnace. I also kind of like the conflict Mai feels about giving birth to a baby that may also have her powers, and be forced into the same life.

I think Marcos behavior was a commentary on how people view their own participation in the system vs how the view the participation of others. Marco feels his actions are justified because he isn’t like others, he’s still disgusted by it, he holds his lines, not eating meat himself but still participating in the system that produces it. The book also comments on the sterilization of language, and the fact that society will accept anything as long as those in power provide justification.

I like your perspective, but the author has talked about her message with the book and it is entirely on the subject of veganism/vegetarianism. It makes sense to assign different concepts to it, especially concepts that relate directly to us as readers, but she did speak at length about her disturbance with the meat industry and how it translated to her creating this story.

I just finished reading this and it was soo amazing. I had actually avoided this story for the longest time based on the depiction of the “romance” that fans romanticized online, plus my general dislike towards visual depictions of sex. But you are so right it’s NOT a romance, anything but that. I also really love the ending on how vague it is. (SPOILERS) Although it can be implied that Yoon Bum died at the end, you don’t actually see it happening. But more important than that tho is actually Sangwoo. When we find out that Sangwoo died and was calling out for Bum in the hospital, it gives Bum the twisted thought that Sangwoo loved him, but for us readers, you can’t help but second guess. Especially since the last we saw of him was calling out to Bum that he betrayed him and that he would kill him, you can’t help but this whether or not Sangwoo calling out for Bum was just him calling out his name in rage or an extension of his childhood trauma regarding his mother’s last haunting words.
