I was commenting the same topic but lesser poetic than you, Sir. We've seen less than half a second non macro shots of the movement and it was enough to tell the really poor quality of those watches. That says all.

I own a watch shop and usually i'll get my apprentices a watch or two for big moments, my favorite thing to get them is the Omega Speedmaster. One, for the history and how iconic the watch is, easy access to parts to repair, and to me, it's a good first adult watch for people to appreciate for me. When i gift it to them, I always say that one day, you'll be able to work on this with no problems, so keep going forward. Always get the displayback and either the 321 or 861 calibre.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on mamacoo 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

First watch: Casio MDV-106/107 Duro. Put a bracelet on it and enjoy the best cheap diver by far. Timeless looks, good water resistance (200m), 120 click unidirectional bezel, very solid build quality.

In the end I went for the speedy in end as i like the history and I already have another dress watch - jlc moonphase. But i might get the pink GS spring drive as the next watch as tbh I prefer dress watches
