Great tutorial. I've used mattress stitch before but I've never gone back to the same stitch before moving on to the next. It looks very secure. I love the way you've done the corners, very neat. I've done something similar to close the opening at the top of a beanie for a lovely flat gathered seam, but I've never done it on a blanket. I will now though. Fantastic ❤

What if you hold the bouclé with a cream or something and make a hat with it? Or a tiny scarf that are all the rage at the moment. Maybe the cream would tone down the yellow a bit. Or hold it with a yellow and go all out haha! Love the elegant shawl ❤. I’m still debating if I should make a Milis for me or for my daughter. 🤔 it’s on my list for this or next year!

Hi Rosina, nice to see you. I've submitted both forms for testing the hat and the secret project but couldn't add my name for some reason, I mucked up. I tested the little fluffy clouds cardigan and joined at the last minute, so I'm up for a challenge.😊 BTW, my to-do list is as long as yours, if not longer, but I keep getting distracted by new shiny things, which I have finished. And now I fancy making a baby romper in granny squares! I have 2 of your shawls on the go at the mo, one is the Cirrus, which I love ❤

I love that you called the spider a he or a she instead of an it. Spiders are amazing organisms! I am crocheting these as a give away at my read aloud events for my children's picture book The Kid Who Was Afraid of Words. Langston Longwordsworth, the main character, is not afraid of rats, bats, bugs, or even most girls. But, there is one thing Langston is afraid of. Langston Longwordsworth is afraid of words! Oh, not words like "run" or "ball" or even "jumping". Those words are easy for him to read. But, show him a word like "magnificent" or "gigantic" and Langston's stomach drops. I wrote a story about a kid who employs a number of tricks, both at school and at home, to avoid having to read unfamiliar words. It is when Langston receives a book that he just has to read that he discovers something extraordinary about long, "frightening" words and overcomes his fear of them. My illustrator, Summer Morrison, did a marvelous job! I asked her if she could put the spider that Langston released out of his sister's bedroom window on the first page somewhere on each subsequent page for the reader to have fun finding. Your tutorial is easy to follow and the spider you made will be a hit at my read aloud events! Thank you so much for sharing!
