Many grateful thanks for this vignette of relaxation, Rosina! I love listening to you talking about design and ideas, finding out how it all bubbles and percolates in your head before coming out full steam ahead! This jumper will be stunning, keep at it, we’ll be there when it all comes together! But I must say that your shawl simply stole my heart… waouh! Everything about it seduces me, from the yarns to the shape and stitches… It straight away reminded me of “seigle” or rye in English, with the grain arranged around the stem like wheat but with the longer filaments crowning them like the straight lined stitches appearing on your shawl … is there already a “Rye Shawl”, I wonder? Anyway, food time here … and work tomorrow! I do love my job (support worker for adults with learning and physical disabilities) despite the fact that it is quite tiring at the moment, the rewards are endless! With loads of hugs from North Yorkshire 🌾🧶🍾

Stand back Superman, Iceman, Spiderman, Batman and Robin too Don't want to cause a fracas, but BA Baracas, have I got a match for you. She makes them look like a bunch of faries. She's got more bottle than United Daries. Hang about - Look out! For Supergran. Work wise I used to be a chef and I had some jobs I loved and some I hated! I've not been able to work for the last 12-13 years because of my Ehlers-danlos syndrome and I really miss working, sometimes I wish I even had a crappy job just because I miss working, I used to be really work focused. Your wheat stitch inspired shawl instantly reminded me of the ending in the movie Gladiator. Have you ever seen the film? As Maximus is walking, his hands are grazing the tops of wheat. If you have seen it you will recall the vocals of the talented Lisa Gerrard in this song called Now We Are Free. Your design and even the color pallette you chose is reminiscent of that scene for me. 😊
