A very optimistic jingle for a very depressingly ugly and unstyled car

If only they’d had the V8 1995 Continental in 1992 or 1993, they might have had something to knock the competition back a smidge.

I don't like sliding doors. The MPV was one of the greatest vehicles ever conceived. I wish there was one in 2024. I would make it about 11 inches longer than the original or 186 inches. Then the wheelbase about 4 inches longer, from 110 inches to 114 inches long. I would definitely keep the door configuration as having no backdoor behind the driver added strength to the overall structure of the vehicle, reduced weight and added safety as rearseat passengers had to exit onto the sidewalk and not into moving traffic: brilliant! Mazda's current 2.5L and 6 speed automatic transmission would make for a slightly quicker vehicle while at the same time 30% more economical. The original MPV was so versatile. Great for taking kids to school, roomy enough for most of the basketball team, road trips, off road trips and overnight camping. Ingress and egress was much better than today's oversized SUVs. Lastly, Mazda listens to their customers more than nearly any automotive company. 😊

That blue Eddie Bauer is exactly like the one I owned for 14 years. Felt my heart twinge when I saw it. Drove it out west a couple of times. Had the 351 V-8. Nice cruiser. Sure do miss it. Mitch Banner Linville NC

I owned and drove an '89 for 5+ years...good car...reliable, decent power and handling, comfortable ride, roomy for its size and good gas mileage 😊 My previous car was a '79 Dodge diplomat - the Tempo was a big improvement 😂

I’d buy it again exactly like this, idk why people complain about gas, it’s better mpg than trucks and has a big gas tank

The fact that these still look nice and modern inside and out after more than 32 years is testimony to the hard work of Ford back then. 24 mpg mixed driving, comfortable, and reasonably safe.

It was Motor Trend Magazine's Car Of The Year Award Winner in 1986. Anyone who bought the Ford Taurus brand new in 1986 had mechanical problems with them. Even before the car was 10 years old, I've seen rust spots on it.

What we have here is a dealer information presentation. The idea is to provide the dealer the information to sell the automobile. The automobile the dealer will be selling is the Ford automobile. The more Ford automobiles the dealer sells the more money he and the motor company will make. The Ford automobile is named after Mr. Henry Ford of Detroit, Michigan who pioneered the assembly line method of automobile manufacturing.

I had a 94 Lincoln Town Car. I loved that car. Btw i was 21 years old at the time. I was the only one among my friends who had a car large enough to transport us all to and from the clubs. My friends referred to my car as "The great white whale". I still miss that car. Rear wheel drive, v8 engine, and body on frame construction!

90% of consumers today wouldn't understand what half of this stuff means and how it translates to the ownership experience. When's the last time you walked into a dealership, and the salesman mentioned the wheelbase? We've gone backwards. 😢

I just bought a 1998 Escort SE Sport for $550 with 86k on it. Needed the Relay Module under the air intake replaced to get it running. They changed the fuel shutoff for the 1998 to under the fuse panel on the driver kick panel. Probably because of punks like me as a kid. My buddy had a 1988 Escort that had the fuel shutoff in the driver rear. We would open the LR door while driving and slam it shut to trip the switch and stall the car out, irking him something fierce every time. Lol...those were good times!
