As part of my retirement plans and also owing to the very shaky housing market now, I just sold a property in Philly and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $200k gains in months, I'm really just confused at this point...
@JacquelineTheresa
@JacquelineTheresa 2 күн бұрын
Yes, a good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge, And it also all depends on how long you're willing to hold for, stocks might likely tank further, but making serious gains in this downtrend wouldn't be a problem if you're a pro.

@@JacquelineTheresa Reason I decided to work closely with a broker ever since the market got really tensed and the pressure became so much(I should be retiring in 17months) so I've had an brokerage-adviser guide me through the chaos, its been 9months and counting and I've made approx. 650K net from all of my holdings.

A hedge fund is a type of investment fund that pools capital from accredited investors or institutional investors and employs a variety of strategies to earn active returns for its investors. Hedge funds may use leverage, derivatives, short selling, and other sophisticated techniques to achieve high returns or to hedge against market risks. They are typically less regulated than other investment funds, such as mutual funds, which allows them greater flexibility in their investment strategies. However, this also means they are generally only accessible to qualified investors who meet certain income or net worth criteria.

Best advice I got was once I reached associate level : don't worry about been VP of douchery business x, y, z. Go start your own business. That is not to say the experience of a few years is not bad thing, it is excellent starting point. Just building a multi million pound business can be far more lucrative. If you have talent to get to MD, then you should have talent to do your own start up to scale far more than a corporate salary can take you. Ask yourself, my max salary is going to be $2m or $4m etc after 10 years or 15 years...can I make $20m or $50m or unlimited? Problem is many have been on the academic then straight to corporate ladder..top Russel group ...masters..analyst..associate..VP..etc without recalling thinking how to scale and build their own infrastructure. School, university and corporate do not teach that..they train workers..I support getting a top degree, masters if needed and some top companies on CV for a few years but real wealth is built from your own business and channeling those funds into the stock market, private equity, real estate etc

Please correct me on this, they are looking to diversify that’s for sure but they are not looking to diversify on quality and in their minds that’s what your uni ranking is no ?

Bro you‘re Guide was very useful, especially the career path. Nevertheless, I am a Bit worried though to the fact, that if you Post a Guide like this for every Finance career, especially the popular ones like IB or PE, your products become a Bit useless. Even for me as a Highschool grad in Germany, who has Done a LOT of Research, was before very intrinsically questioned: „Shall i Buy it or not? Maybe there is some useful Information that i didn‘t know“ Now I am like „Ok thank you for that, i do Not Need to Buy it anymore because i know everything“ . And this a Major Problem. For me, as a Client is it perfect, But for you Not really because you don’t Generate enough income. Maybe it is useful for you. Have a nice Day and keep your work up 💪👍
