The BEST way to learn quality clothing is to go to high end stores and look and feel (with clean hands) the fabric. Grab some fabric and scrunch it in your hand it should be hard to scrunch and try to spring out of your hand. When you find that, look at all the details outside and inside. Then go to a thriftstore and try to find those same qualities...even if you don't buy them. You will also notice that junk brands have horrible fabric along with everything else....stop buying from those fake brands: it is always going to "look" better than it is!! Try to remember that cheating customers is considered smart business in some countries, and some eras. (In the US at the turn of the century, traveling salesmen taught each other ways to cheat customers...it was "buyer beware") not to mention all the slave labor and horrors of fast fashion.

My mom taught me in the 70’s that linen always had a “wrinkle pass” in society… but having said that I have been known to use starch in the 80’-90’s. NOW!!!!! I’ve learned buying thrifted linen is the way to go for its softer worn in look and feel… so comfortable! I have lots of it in my poshmark closet that has been selling well

I’m originally from Orlando Florida and my husband’s from Vegas. We just moved back to Vegas lol. OK, 2nd comment...Your style is definitely on a chic track since moving to FL. As a former floridian with floridian parents, I want to know what types of places you are wearing your fits to. I love them, and I know where I would wear them (in NYC) , but where are YOU wearing them? Some of my most worn summer tops are 100% linen knit tees from Eileen Fisher and Tahari. Since they are knits they don't wrinkle, but they do require hand washing.

a video on living with your parents again would be awesome. i know 2 women, both in their late 30s, who moved back. they both have law degrees and just wanted to save and recharge after also living in a hectic high COL city (nyc). frankly i wish i could do the same at 35, but my mom won't have me! lol.

Love the feel of linen and I do have a steamer, but I just can't be bothered to steam. So I don't buy linen anymore.
