I love an oversized crochet / knit bolero !! The natural fiber I think tones it down while adding a fun texture. It’s basically the last style you did, super fun. I love this video, thank you !! And yes, I agree, converse and big black combat boots are amazing 🤩 I wear them with my flowy long skirts.

Good advice as usual, as a semi retired vocalist I had a LOT of fancy dresses. I did resell many of them but have kept favs and have dressed them down and enjoyed the compliments from people. I think a lot of people can appreciate that you took the time to put something together, and have pride and fun in your appearance. I complimented an older woman at the post office today because you could tell it mattered to her how she presented herself. Unfortunately soon after she said something racially insensitive, but that’s a different story😢

I will be a guest at two weddings this week. My lack of fancy clothes that fit me was so severe that I got a DVF dress off of The RealReal and I'm going to wear it with platform sandals, jewelry and my second hand Ann Klein bag to both of the weddings.

The struggle with fancy dresses is so real. Either you have a bunch of them and nowhere to wear them or none and you need one in a pinch 😭 Love that you chose a DVF dress though! Can never go wrong with a classic! ❤️❤️ Hope you have fun at the weddings!

Thank you!!! Kathleen Illustrated also did a great version a while back that I found while I was researching titles. Different takes but definitely in the same wheelhouse. And haven’t given up completely on thrifting. Just needed to dial back the amount and frequency and wanted to experiment with other types of content 🥰
