I love your videos, thank you for sharing. One thing that ties together some of these "micro trends to avoid" for me is that they look juvenile...things I would have seen for my children at Gymboree. So, not for me, but I understand that others enjoy them. :-)

Yes! I’m 50 and looking at a lot of these new trends makes me cringe. I cannot pull off an elementary look and wouldn’t want to. This is definitely for the younger than 20 somethings😂

I used to work for a luxury shoe company that released a pair of mesh/net ballet flats and every other client experienced the mesh ripping…so it’s definitely not worth it 😅

Bows absolutely No, Accessorily bags No, Formula 1 great for moto-cross racing but No, Mesh ballet flats maybe good for wearing on a beach boardwalk so?, Mens tie just leave to the men, Mob wife good on The Godfather but not for me!

No to men's ties but yes to skinny scarves like Kate Moss. They elongate you too if you're petite, Kate was never without one. I bought a couple of metallic ones to brighten up my mainly neutral outfits

I agree with all, with the sort of exception is the tie. I have used them as belts due to certain patterns that I really liked. The mob look reminds me of a bad time period of violence and greed which I wouldn’t want to honor or celebrate oxoxox

To be honest, I kind of like the leather jacket with the bows. I think it's cute, the perfect combo between girly and edgy. I bought a leopard print coat back in February and mob wife or not, i can't wait for it to be cold again so I can wear it. Totally agree with you on the mesh ballet flats. Still looking weird to me. Also, the more I look at them, the more I think what a sensory nightmare they must be.

instead of mesh shoes (or fishnet tights), I bought an inexpensive mesh bag, my grandma used to have one too in Italy in the 70s, I bought a black one for very little and keep it in my handbag for when I go shopping, a black one is quite chic and refined but you can buy them in all sorts of bright colours too

I bought a vintage mink coat Dec 2023. I’m hoping to wear it for Halloween and go as a mob wife!! 😂😂😂 Might be too hot where I live to wear it - would be a fun costume. Im very glad the cold shoulder trend didn’t last too long. It was so bad!! Started seeing the shirts in thrift stores a few months ago.
