Hi Dave, I live in Pennsylvania, USA, so I didn't experience the UK spring, but I'm guessing that "hottest" is not the correct word for the weather. If it rained frequently, then there must have been plenty of cloud cover, which raises the average temperature vs. a spring when there is little cloud cover and the temperature drops sharply overnight. And perhaps the slightly warmer than average temperatures contributed to the continuing clouds and precipitation. I can easily imagine the Powers That Be exploiting the average temperature to advance an agenda, but it may well have been true that it was the warmest (not hottest) spring on record. I only advocate critical thinking rather than a political stance (such stances seem to be ruining the globe), and I offer this as a possible explanation of why the empirical data may be correct, even if it was presented in a political way. Also, you gotta put that Guzzi away; just a couple more videos and I'm going to have to buy one. Do it for me, and my bank account, and my marriage, Dave! Thank you for the video!

Its a nice route that one! Done it myself a few times in last couple of years. Incidentally, when you said "further edification" you reminded me of the late Brian Glover in his role in Alien 3, uncanny voice match 👍. Looking forward to the next video.

Beautiful landscape. Thanks for sharing. Might I suggest a separate audio recorder in a place near the exhaust, where it doesn't pick up wind noise? Personally I've fitted some kind of muffler to the gopro, but it's not perfect. Greetings from the Gäuboden!

I have been riding since 1990 and have never owned a car. After 2 really difficult years, with a marriage breakdown and then family illness and bereavement I am now finding my way back. I haven't ridden for the joy of riding, for some time. I sold my Shadow 1100 and bought a Scram 411 to commute on. Now I am just waiting for the sale of a house to go through and then I will have funds for a second bike. I haven't been to Yorkshire or Cumbria, both places that I love, for so many years. I feel that a trip on the new bike will be comfort for my soul. Great upload!

More wonderful scenery and roads to take you through it. The road from Hawes to Buckden is one of my favourites, dropping down from the open landscape at Fleet Moss into the confines of Langstrothdale and following the River Wharfe to Buckden is a very special riding experience. Thanks Dave.

Following my heart attack in May and a stent procedure I've not had my GoldStar out yet this year but watching your videos of roads and places I've been to, so often, really cheers me up. It's the drugs they put you on that make you feel different and until I get used to them my GoldStar stays in the garage I'm afraid.

We had our biker gear but hiring two bikes was a bit costly the exchange rate to Australia dollar not good.we did manage 5 days on bikes in grand canaria in the mountains which was fun. Need to try a Moto Guzzi

Hi Dave, good morning from Norfolk. What a wonderful ride, breathtaking. I had to re-wind to make out where we lost your sidekick on the Triumph, i think it was just after Appersett (video 5.13) is that correct? Towards the end of the ride you were, it appeared, to be hitting some rough roads! How is the Guzzi on roads like that from a comfort standpoint. Always great to watch your videos, thank you for posting. Be safe. Regards, Roy.

Hi Roy yes Andy let me go up front after Appersett……the bikes is fine on rough roads it’s just that I forgot the securing strap for the camera mount 😂

Impressive kit. I couldn’t justify the expense and will continue to use the small bicycle pumps which cost about £15. I have unfortunately/fortunately, depending on your view, had to use this three times. Yes, it takes a while to pump up a rear 130 tyre, but… Wouldn’t mind the Cycplus if it were a Christmas present 😊

Rolling hills and Green fields, Dry stone walls and sheep peacefully grazing. Two motorcycles, cruising the idilic English countryside. For we older bikers it doesn't get much better than that does it Dave. The Guzzi has a lovely relaxed sonorous engine beat doesn't it. The thing l miss riding here in Spain is the lack of places to stop and stare....lay-bys/view points are thin on the ground. ..at least in the Valencia/Murcia region where l do most of my ''Go for a Ride'' ...On the plus side our roads are far superior making for a less 'jarring' ride. A couple of weeks back l said that the neck camera mount was a great alternative to a helmet chin mount. But it appears less easy to maintain a level horizon. Its not until you view the footage when it becomes apparent.. However, that point aside l enjoy my early morning rides across the Yorkshire Moors... Your fortunate to have such a beautiful area to ''Go for a Ride'' on your doorstep...
@thebingleywheeler15 сағат бұрын
Cheers Brian on that video I’d forgotten the securing strap so the mount was askew and a bit jerky. It’s now perfect and better than helmet mount. Yes those pastoral scenes are quintessential England 😊

Great scenery and a bit of nostalgia, thanks Dave. I remember walking a five mile round trip to make phone calls, a long time ago. Single track roads are usually devoid of road furniture, nature is just inches away and the modern world is left behind, riding along them almost feels like flying as I used to in dreams when I was young. Of course there's sometimes a fool in a hurry to shatter the illusion.

Doesn't look like it has a replaceable battery. If you get one use it all the time to get your money out of it, once it's dead, it's dead. Might not be too hard to replace if you are familiar with spot-welding lithium-ion batteries but that's a minority of users. That said; if you need a pump often, this looks like nice.

Yes, there's some glorious countryside in that neck of the woods, Dave. Pre-decimal currency; I'm old enough to remember the farthing... Back in the early '60's petrol cost around 5 shillings (five bob = 25 p, or around 5.5p/litre) a gallon; that sounds very cheap today, but in 1962 my RAF in-the-hand pay was just one pound a week.

My MG Stone Special Edition now has 1700 miles on it since it (finally) arrived, mid April. Yes, it's engagingly unrefined below 65mph, but it goes silky smooth at motorway speeds and above (allegedly!). I fitted a Dart flyscreen to reduce the wind blast which definitely helped and it adds to the looks of the bike.
