Baal and Yahweh are the same god, used interchangeably in a few places and entered the same way -clouds, etc. Baal is a night deity and battles sun gods. Ra was a sun god. Night, moon, storm. El was a sun god, and very different in tone than Yahweh. At first it was El, then Yahweh and El, then El no more. So Yahweh/Baal took over El. All the gods are suns, moons, planets, etc. Like Satan, Lucifer is Venus. Baal/Yahweh is battling a god of light - same as it ever was. If Lucifer is the Light Bringer, The Dawn Bringer, Morning Star- he is of light. That means the Yahweh is moon/night/storm. None of this is even complicated, it is plain sight.

I have an awesome travel bible. Only 3 1/2" wide, 5" tall and only 3/4" thick, with a ribbon and snap closure. The whole bible not just NT. It has small print, but no problem for me at 70. It's been all over bc so tiny to fit in backpack side pocket and can continue with my daily scripture. And so light weight no worries on hiking trips. For most types of bible reading I still prefer hard copy, but use online apps too.

Been trying to find one for like a year! Some on ebay for $300+

OK you got me hooked. I'll admit when this came up on my recommendations I nearly scrolled past because of your name. Dojo made me think it was just Eastern philosophy, and my time is limited, so I'm looking for other things. Then--- the toys in the background made me roll my eyes HARD! But, I gave you grace and watched to the end. Brother, forgive my judgmental heart! My prejudices almost made me miss an EXCELLENT lesson on the parallels of these ancient texts. You certainly did your due diligence! Showing these side-by-side is a great way to teach and the glossary of terms at the outset really clarified things that I have often wondered about, but haven't investigated myself. This is only the first of your videos for me and I'll be clicking on part 2 next. But if the rest of your content is like this, you are certainly doing the Lord's work and have earned a subscriber.

Aaaaawww, I had never fully linked Moses not entering the Promised Land with Moses appearing with Jesus at Transfiguration! I know at this point, it's ridiculous, but that makes me happy. I've always felt sorry for Moses. He put up with these whiny, unbearable, awful people for SO LONG. But it's because of my own sinful heart that I see Moses as being in the right and God treating him unfairly. He was the leader and he did publicly disobey. When I heard the line I thought surely, he's mistaken! I rushed to my Bible... and saw he was right. I struggled a while with that one. About the best and smallest that I have is LSB compact edition 8.5 font and double column. The CSB and NASB large print compact reference is good, but is double column and 8 point font. They are slightly smaller than the bible shown in the video.

I guess God led me to this blog and interview but not really sure what to do with it now that Im here. My UMC church left the denomination about 2 years ago to “just” become a Community Church. It is doing OK and is relatively stable but I have never felt comfortable with their leadership, lack of structure and no formal statement of belief. Reluctantly my wife and I left our long term membership and have been attending a local Baptist Church for some time. Although a very good church and congregation, their beliefs do not really reflect many of my own so we have been very reluctant to join their membership and long to be back in the Wesleyan tradition. I have not yet been able to find a Global Methodist church in the South Florida area so have seriously thought about attempting to bring our previous Community Church into contact with the Global hierarchy. How would I go about that?
