After what the owners of this nursing home did to the residents and the staff by throwing them out at 11 pm on a cold rainy Friday night December 2023 with no place to go… I wouldn’t take this video, down but rather cover the whole story behind it, and expose everyone of them for what they did.

In the event you get caught, nothing happens. You'll be warned and maybe given a summons but that's worst case. Gone are the days of jail time, this is because there's hardly any police, tons of homeless and lots of junkies. I'm not advising you to be reckless but you'll be fine. If I was doing that explore I'd put on scrubs and carry a clip board, people will think you're doing inventory

It did close without notice. The employees were told they would not be paid. The place had been slapped with multiple citations, there were staffing shortages, the place had been losing a large amount of money. Most of the residents were bused to other facilities but some did simply walk out which caused great distress to families, it was total chaos.

Wow, what a location! This is a perfect example of "liminal spaces", very wild vibes, sad, a little creepy, but very cool. The upper floor was a stark contrast to the lower ones, like you walked back in time. That second pool table is for bumper pool. That location truly was choice!
@davidlancaster1807
@davidlancaster1807 Ай бұрын
That pull table with the round things in the middle is called bumper pool. You and your opponent has 4 or 5 balls each. One opponent takes all of one color the other takes all of the other. Each opponent stands in front of either hole at the end. You take turns trying to hit all your balls into your opponents hole. The first to sink all balls into the other opponents hole wins the game.

Why is the power still on? Who’s paying for it? Don’t tell us you need to save money! This is a huge homeless or migrant shelter! Have the prospective residents do repair work under supervision, and open it up! With all kinds of rooms, it could shelter barracks style temporary homeless, migrants for a year, families in need of housing, and low-income residents. Restore a small section as a nursing home. It’s a good sturdy building.

Yeah I was afraid of that too. At one point I mentioned it actually felt really warm and humid in there, so if anything I think the heat could've been on. Which is possible I suppose given that it was December where all their operations stopped.

This building was once a great hospital. It looks like it was a Catholic Hospital especially with the chapel. It is very sad what happened to this place and my heart goes out to all who suffered in these walls. There is something really eerie about old hospitals. The old DC General Hospital Campus still has the Psychiatric Ward building left falling to Urban Decay. It was built in the 50's. DC General Hospital ran from 1806-2001 when it was in serious debt and the city of Washington DC could no longer afford to run it.

They took us down the top maintenance floors were they had a door they cut a hole through that took us to the resident rooms. He said they haven't explored or started down there yet and everything looked exactly like the video. We got about 60 percent of it explored.

Damn, this is epic!! I hope YT doesn't take this down...great job on this one. I did a hospital a few years ago with active utilities and an alarm going off; pretty obviously abandoned, but also just seemed vacant. These huge pristine abandonments are so worth it, but it's almost hard to enjoy til you're gone...great idea waiting it out for a bit. (And now we play the waiting game... ... ...ahhhh, the waiting game sucks, let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos!) It really is INFURIATING what happened to this one...all our technology, all our "wokeness" 🤢, all our big talk about compassion, tolerance, and togetherness, and this is how we treat people (and in their "golden" years), the waste of resources and money, and space is absolutely deplorable! It'd be fantastic if the soulless ghouls who allowed this to occur received actual consequences, but...people; if it ain't broke, fix it til it is.🤦‍♂️ Anyway, thanks for sharing, lots of everything left behind (yeah, those looked like real prosthetics), stay safe out there and take care!! 👍😁

KZbin won't take it down, I was afraid I may get harassed to take it down by whoever is behind the scenes of the building now since that's happened to me a couple times before with these highly fresh, only somewhat "abandoned" type places. But someone else around here said they deserve to be exposed for what went down there, so even if they do come for me, I may stand firm, nothing yet though.

Burglary involves breaking and entering with the intent of stealing, so tell me where exactly in this video do I break anything to get in, and what exactly did I steal. 'Trespassing" is all I do, which given I'm only sneaking into abandoned and unused places would be like the equivalent to driving 70mph in a 65 on a completely dead highway in the middle of the night. Illegal by technical definitions, but nothing actually morally wrong, and no harm done.
