I've been playing only since Jan and I still struggle reading sheet music. I was hoping to have some notes for finger placement. I believe it starts on the D string Maybe E, F, D or 1, 2 , open on the D string. Trying to teach myself lol

@@yoheff988 I believe I remember seeing that somewhere but to be honest I was not comfortable in doing so and being careful with the reaming and periodically test fitting a little at a time, there was plenty of retention and no slippage. Researching further I found others had similar results. My logic was that if it presented a problem in this approach I could always resort to the other. To date I’ve had absolutely no issues. Instead of using wire to ground the cavities would using tape to connect the cavities on top of the body work?

@@WEdHarris Thank you for your response, and for making this video. I ended up doing it the way you did with the wire, copper tape, and tabs on top of the body for the pickguard and have continuity between all the cavities. Next I'm replacing the pickups with Seymour Duncan La Brea pickups, replacing the plastic nut with a bone nut, and installing an Emerson 4 way control plate assembly using cloth shielded wiring. 👍🏻

Now I want a set considering I was using a wrench on my tuner heads because of excessive friction.... I never heard of those tuners ...I reamed out violin holes using a power drill. - if I posted a video on that.... I'd be getting some serious hate comments. 😂
