Installing Planetary Gear Tuning Pegs on Violin

My first installation of Knilling Perfection Planetary Gear Pegs on a Violin. A wonderful alternative to conventional friction pegs, Knilling's Perfection Planetary Geared Peg is an innovative tuning peg providing a fine tune and “non-slip” solution for your violin, viola or cello. I’m so glad it was helpful! It’s really not all that difficult if you invest in the right tools and take your time! My next set will be the Whittners as well due to their higher gear ratio. I have a set of Whttners on my electric violin which were installed when I bought it and I love it! Having a set of fine tuners with these would be nice but I’m very pleased with them! Hi, Wittner's system is actually quite different, no thread, so you need to put more strength when you install them. Overall an inferior system, made out of plastic... The ones in the video are much nicer for almost the same price, I would highly recommend this option instead. Also remember that a luthier wouldn't charge much, if you've already bought the pegs, results will also be a lot better. Some may be reluctant to install them tho
