Nice! I'm going to try to find a flatiron like that (I have a f style flatiron, and it is great too, but think yours sounds more mellow and natural for this type of music). I play violin and all the instruments the same as you (but bass, harmonica, and a bit of accordion too - no bag pipes though ...). Nice composition and recording/playing.

Thank You Benny! I'm so glad you liked it and I appreciate your kind and supportive words sir! The Flatiron I am playing is actually a Mandola and not a Mandolin. It is tuned the same a Viola (C,G,D,A). I enjoy complementing the fiddle with it for the very reason you observed about the tone. To me it is richer, fuller, and a bit deeper. Good luck in your search and I look forward in hearing how it turns out! 👍
