In my opinion, BF2142 is one of the best, if not the best game in the series. Its main disadvantage is the old engine, however, we cannot rate the game so low because of it. Just think about it, four thoughtful classes, a lot of new gadgets such as a turret, homing mines or a landing beacon, new types of equipment that no longer exist in any part, such as Robots and Titans. New abilities such as active defense of vehicles and EMP grenades. A brand new, stunning, incomparable Titans mode in which you storm a futuristic ship soaring in the sky, terrifying in its appearance. Capsule flights in the sky and the rapid assault of the enemy titan felt like you were pirates of the 22nd century, pumped up with new weapons, gadgets and adrenaline. No game has given me such feelings as BF2142, I'm still reviewing trailers on KZbin. To be honest, I think a huge number of people would like to remaster or remake this part on a new engine. And even better is the BF2143.

Played 1942 and Vietnam thousands of hours. After this it went down each new battlefield. Until battlefield 1. After this it died for me.

Bf2 for its time was S+ tier war game...bf3 and 4 are the same, only better graphics in 4. But i guess we all have our own opinions, but i think many who judge Vietnam/BF2 and way too young to know what impact those games had.

Im a die hard bf3 and bf4 fan boy, i still play BF4 to this day but ill admit, BF1 has to be the best battlefield in terms of hype, content and live service. I still think BF3 and 4 are superior in terms of customization of characters and weapons and better maps but if i had i could relive any game during its peak and the time when content was actively being rolled out, id pick bf1

We all know Battlefield 4 is number one. Bar none. Battlefield 3 is the only other that's in the conversation, but Battlefield 4 in it's final updated form is an absolute masterpiece and DLC brought most of the best BF3 maps forward. Hardline was just wierd and nobody cared. BF1 was decent, but it's not as good as BF 3 and 4. It awkwardly tried to graft modern tactics and weapons concepts into a WWI atmosphere ill-suited to it. Everything after BF1 was just awful.
