Thank you. I was so excited to see an update from you. I love your wide variety of low water plants! Trying to figure out how to spend less time hand watering in our sweltering heat.

I love that you utilize the space between the sidewalk and the road. People mostly just grow ant beds in those areas here.

We just got free plants from Home Depot today. The vendor was there pulling old/dry plants. He let my son pick out what he wanted to take home. ❤️

Even as a kid I realized this and didn’t even question it. Everyday I question why we grow plants with no uses. I’ll never plant poisonous flowers

Can leaves come back from yellowing/paling? I have a huge tree that was doing so well but i repotted probably a year too late. It didn't grow much last year and slowly pale and lost a some leaves. i just repotted into a gigantic pot and as suspected the roots were totally coiled up. I'm probably going to top it but wanted to take it step at a time. I'm hoping the older leaves regain color instead of continue dying.

I think managers don’t care, it’s probably considered trash or debris to them anyways. But it’s probably a good idea to ask beforehand just to clear your conscience.

Can you use the dead plant for anything? My heart would hurt to just let it shrivel up and not be of use for something. Compost, maybe? I'm new to the succulent world.

Makes sense, i guess they're trying to ptevent a kid from getting poisoned from eating a plant or something. Still wish it could be used elsewhere at least
@oi-nf9uz2 күн бұрын
No, the theme of tomorrowland is that it's the city of the future. Futurists envisioned a self sustaining city, part of that is not wasting space with purely ornamental plants. They dont give two shits if a kid eats a landscaping plant (most arent toxic enough to seriously harm you + largely the parents responsibility to prevent their kids from munching on random things)
@777spec1_men2 күн бұрын
@@oi-nf9uz ah gotcha lol. I've never been, I was thinking abt why they'd have that. Thanks for the context ☺

Don’t move to Texas if you like to garden! It’s a place where gardens die. Well, without a lot and I mean a lot of blood sweat and tears. I only have flower beds because I brought old cow manure from my parents farm up north and installed a drip system.

I saw a woman at Walmart a few weeks back get stopped by asset management because she was trying to take a 3ft long aloe leaf from the store that had *very* obviously been cut off and not broken, then she got mad at the staff for stopping her and embarrassing her lol

Not all, but some of these stores that sell plants have a dumpster in the back where they throw almost dead plants. That is where I go to find plants that I can resurrect. However, many plant suppliers pick up unsellable plants when they restock.

Who didn't raise you? 🤣That's called Stealing! It doesn't matter if it's a leaf, a piece of paper, or even a crumb of dirt. IT DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU. THAT'S CALLED STEALING. THEY OWN THOSE THINGS, EVEN THE TRASH. Just because you want something, doesn't mean you have a right to it. Doesn't matter if they are letting it go to waste, it's theirs. Thief, Stay away from my house and garden. Again, WTF, nobody teach you right from wrong?Well I'm not the first one to tell you.. You are just a scumbag.

I was just telling my wife how guilty I feel for doing this today at wallmart. I saw pothos plants just dying. All cut up, wilting, very dry. Anyway.. I took it inside and asked if they do discounts and she said she can’t. Well on the way out I happen to pick up a dying part and took it home and now it’s hanging in my fish tank lol.
@MissBananaYT4 күн бұрын
haha yeah please dont purchase from home depot. They throw away full bags of mulch, soil, rock, etc because the bags have holes in them. The plants arn't owned by home depot and most times, don't properly take care of them. Vendors come in and they choose the plants to throw out that basically don't look good. Working in the garden center there is nothing like an actually green house. You mostly just do grunt work like lifting a million bags of soil/mulch and break your back as a temp seasonal employee with no healthcare. Not a single employee would care if you took leaves off the ground. If you want fully grown plants please shop from a local source.

Our big local garden center just put a notice on their Facebook page that anyone seen taking leaves or seeds would be charged with shoplifting and prosecuted
