Really enjoy your videos dealing with the M1028. I am getting one myself in about 2 weeks (M1028). I was wondering if you could tell me the part number for the inline fuel anti drain valve that you installed? I have read that fuel drains down in the factory line and it causes a hard start situation (common issue from what I have read). Thanks again, I am learning so much from your videos!

You really should save the original alternators because they're rare isolated ground units and it's much better to get them rebuilt than using chinese eBay units that aren't correct.

What does the little orange wire go to on the passenger side alternator? Mine is broken.
@RocknusUrbanCamouflage4 ай бұрын
Start the video at exactly 25 minutes and you'll see where that orange wire goes. It goes from the top stud on gen 2 over to the 24v bar. It shares the stud with the big 24v wire on gen 2.
@keelandavis4 ай бұрын
@@RocknusUrbanCamouflage thank you for your response. I saw where the orange wire mounts to on the alternator, but I was wondering where it goes on the other end. I figured out earlier that it goes to the diagnostic system and you don’t actually need it. Mine is broken off on my truck.

Best place to get your exhaust done if you're going to drive into New Hampshire is Southern New Hampshire undercar in Hampstead New Hampshire. He worked at Skip's garage doing exhaust for many many years then opened his own place in East Hampstead on route 111 he does excellent work best around

Sir: Do you have the used left side Shaft and internally splined gear that carries the 3 planetary gears? I take it you replaced the entire shaft. Do you have CCadet Part #'s for them? Please reply. Thanks.
@gordbaker8967 ай бұрын
The axle shaft (2 piece) is $600+ in Canada. No Longer available. I need the short left shaft and internal splined gear. Used an oil light bushing where the 2 join (he calls it a spacer) and tried to pack the worn shaft/gear splines with Brass Shimstock. May have to weld it! The failed inner bushing caused the shaf/gear spline destruction.

I actually didn't know that existed. Have you had any issues with the vacuum pump that also fakes out the engine vacuum going to the TH400? Mine (like most) is leaking and the transmission shop I use spent two days but somehow got the system to make the transmission behave.

Nice work. I bought an 86 but can't find exhaust. Where do you get your parts?
@RocknusUrbanCamouflage7 ай бұрын
I have a lot of parts already, but when I need something I don't have I get it from Mike Morin in Massachusetts. I live close and can pick up but he'll also ship many items and I'm sure he'd shi manifolds. Here's a link to his FB page. He's in most of the CUCV groups... facebook.com/allamerican.woodworkingcarpentry
