Siskel and Ebert were actors. Everything on the mainstream media is carefully planned. It's not like this was filmed live lol

Just watched it for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. Disagree with Gene. And I’m disappointed that neither give any credit to Glenne Headly, who I thought was brilliant in this.

Ebert is in my opinion, the greatest film critic of all time.. He's allowed to wrong occasionally, which he was here. My Cousin Vinny is a phenomenal film.

Ebert completely missed the mark on this one. It wasnt about the case, the movie focused exacrly where it should have on Vinney and Mona Lisa. Ralph was a supporting actor.

Well actually, Cab's clothing, contact lenses, teeth fillings and his everything was invisible due to the accident. Cab even talked this after he had a problem taking a shower because he couldn't see where he'd placed his invisible clothes. Fun movie imo, some of the best vfx of the early nineties. This is what Sam Neill was doing while Jurassic Park was in pre-production.

Carrotblanca was shown in a MeTV Toons intermission, maybe it’s gonna show up in the Cartoon All-Stars Slot. (Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers could potentially show up there as well, along with Another Froggy Evening, and From Hare To Eternity.) This one would probably be on a Sunday since one Flintstones movie as well as those guest stories of Scooby Doo are on that day.

I do get Ebert's point about the characters of the defendants being underwritten. In fact I often forget that Ralph "The Karate Kid" Macchio is even in this movie when I rewatch it. But Siskel gets that this is one of the rare courtroom dramas where the story is more about the lawyers than the defendants and so likes it like we do.

The great thing was that witnesses were not scheming false witnesses. They were honest people who were mistaken.Same with the prosecutor. He was a good man using the information he had,not just wanting a cheap conviction.

Of course, Siskel & Ebert didn't catch the literary nod to H.P. Lovecraft, even though it was glaringly blatant. You know, "The Necromonicon, by the mad Arab, Kitab al-Azif"? But, they were just pair of pretentious, know-it-all, pedantic douchebags

The skinny one is a prick. And he doesn't know what the fuck hes talking about. The bar scene. Pacino didnt want to kill those guys. He saw the hit coming. Barely got out alive. When you live like that. You cannot share it with your woman. She will never understand or approve if she loves you.
