This episode highlighted the difference between Rigsby & Van Pelt and Jane & Lisbon. Rigsby & VP were honest with themselves and each other about their feelings. Lisbon conversely was still in complete denial telling the receptionist " oh, we're not couple " and laughing nervously. Jane at least acknowledged feelings but outwardly down played it as " platonic love " while inwardly suppressing what he felt.

Sorry, even a defendant defending himself never gets the opportunity to make a speech in a courtroom. If those are closing arguments, it would likely end up convicting him. Empathy is not a factor in whether what he did was a crime or not. It was a crime. Did Jane lay in wait? If he did, that's special circumstances and it's a capital crime. One he admitted to. What would I do? Probably what he did. It's still vigilantism, it's still revenge. We can't allow that. The rule of law has no sympathy for that. Jurors, doing their job properly, would convict. There is no redemption for him based on what he is saying. It sounds creepy to you bc vigilantism is creepy. It's not how civilized society is supposed to work. It's wrong. If RJ were brought to judicial justice rather than extrajudicial or frontier justice, Jane would have got what he needed at no risk to himself. But maybe that wouldn't be romantic enough for a TV fantasy. First-degree murder in California is 25 to life without parole or execution by lethal injection. At this point of course Jane already knew Lisbon was in love with him, the same he was and confessed already, but he would never consider that or feed that feelling at all, RJ was alive and so close. He really was trying to be as honest as he could be with her, Jane here is not in his complete cold mode, he let it clear that for him he didn't lie to her, and since she pushed and wanted the truth he admitted to have some feelings for Lorelei, but he did could not say that, he didn't love her at all, he knew who she was from the start, when they slept together he knew all along why she was there, but he sympathized with her, RJ made her, he took all she loved to make her who she was and Jane understood that. But he did was cruel to Lisbon, he could be easier with her feelings but he was worried also, I do think in his way he was pushing her away from him emotionally to protect her.

This so interesting. She was absolutely right but Jane had a unique mind so it wouldn't be possible for him to move on, not only because of what happened but because of his guilty. And a lot of people think he was able to move on because he got his revenge, I don't think so, the point for me was that he was finally free of the monster that was able to take away all he had, and that woud have happen if anyone killed RJ for sure. He often asked people if it was worth it, he wasn't sure if killing RJ would make him feel better, that was his hope, and everyone that tasted revenge or justice when lost someone says the same, it didn't change a thing, that's what was in his mind when he saw his daugther, he knew the answer but RJ trapped him,he felt responsible for their death, unworthy of living, but gladly as Lisbon said he chose life, and even after killing RJ it wasn't easy to live again, he still was afraid of being happy cause what that didn't change what he went through. Lisbon understood him, his pain and his guilty from the start, she was at his side for more than ten years knowing the weight he was carrying, that's why she let him got away with so much and because she is truly a very good and nice person and slowly felt in love with him cause somethings he did, to forgive and be that understanble only a real love would do it lol. And I love that she actually gave him the only thing he had through all those years, that was his job, doing something with his talent, that wasn't Jane's plan, it was a leap of faith and a kind act, she made possible for him to move on cause if all he did was chase RJ he would be in a very dark place and alone.

This episode absolutely kills me the way you see Jane being simultaneously vulnerable and broken but also just ridiculously clever and manipulative. Like is the way he presents himself pretty genuine? Is he really as screwed up and lost as he seems? I'd say yes. But is he also very deliberately playing all of these people to get what he wants? Also yes. He clearly thinks through how he's going to play people but you can also see how much it's sort of second nature to him. The way it takes him like five seconds to get Hannigan to punch him in the face gets me every time, I just wanna give him a slow clap. 😂

These two actors were amazing in the movie Love From Ground Zero. Great to see them together again after so many years.

She did spend the night with Pike that's why she took a taxi, when she said her car didn't start Jane replied, of course it didn't, it does not make sense, lol knew it sadly, but he still was holding back on his feelings so he deserved to suffer a little and she deserved to be wanted by someone.

Her acting is great because we are suposed to believe it's real, the first time watching this and the appartament it's insane, and Bosco facing Jane about he will take her home it's great. And she said to Bosco in the end it was fun to lose for once, she was being framed and scared for the absence of memory so she let it out. Robin did a tremendous job as Lisbon cause she gave her a complete real personality and was precise till the end of the show, we can see Teresa changing and growing but always the same.

I looved her, she was smart, Jane realized that, she knew Jane cared for her so she was using that to try to keep him in line.

I loved this scene, just the fact he was there and told her something was not ok showed how much he trusted and respected her, so just that attitude was enough for him to know it had to stop and could end by himself, I think she also trusted him to deal with whatever it was cause he was willing to get help so he was going to solve the problem no matter what it was, of course she knew he wasn't there just for being late. She is a great boss.

You guys need to give Patrick more credit, Lisbon can't completely cause she is too honesty and good, and she has feelings for him, so for her even knowin Patrick better than anyone else it's hard to believe he could be this cold and rational. And also he didn't mock her maybe jealousy, he really was surprised to where the conversation was going to, he wanted Lisbon to trust he was in control and she had nothing to worry.
