Jane felt threatened. ..He felt his instincts pinging..but all that guy did was talk to lisbon...so his first thought was maybe i am feeling territotial and protective because lisbon and the guy had a fling...but when he noticed lisbon's reaction to his question he brushed that thought aside...and felt something was off abt the guy ..and focused on the sense of wrongness coming from the man.
