4:17, the stator terminals on the alternator and the voltage regulator aren't used on vehicles with an ammeter in the instrument panel. The stator terminals are used on vehicles with an indicator lamp in the instrument panel.

Placing the dampner there still helped the engine not flex? Im trying to find a spot to fab mine up on.. but i was under the impression it had to be in contact with the block or somthing attatched the the engine itself? Did it still work with it just mounted to the stud on the engine mount?

The reason your power steering belt is hitting your lower radiator hose is because you installed it backwards. Take it off and flip it around and you won't need to zip tie it.

Thanks . A+ Video .I have a 171 2.8l V6 ‘85 Ford Ranger 4x4 light Truck . Replaced the primary wires with a recommended 60 Amp Alternator . And all new Parts and this Instruction is a visual hands on one . I can breathe easier . It’s an old natural aspirated. Engine . I saw a video at You Tube using a #6 AWG BK ground from the 12V Battery Negative Terminal with pigtail ground wire attached to the Alternator Bracket instead of the weak ground at Passenger Side front of truck ground which caused battery drain for many .Plus according to Gary’s Garagemahal expertise it there was a mistake in the Wiring Diagram. This is a solid ground video young man . Let’s ride!

Was i supposed to prop up the waterpulley when installing by inserting soemthing between the pulleys to take up any slack in mounting holes so it didnt sag into crank pulley? to fix do i just loosen it do this now OR was new pump made poorly? Also how tight is too tight for the belts? i just got thios truck week ago and immediately replaced the alt belt but maybe i over tightented them cuz a week later my water pump bearing goes?

Sounds like an issue with the new water pump. Make shure u dont have ur water pump pulley on backwards.,. Let me know. Also the belt should be pretty tight.
