I live near the place, and I traveled many times the highway in front of the airport. Your report is the most complete I found on the internet, congratulations for putting together facts, eyewitness reports and the tv broadcast. The animation was very good, the mountains and the terrain images are perfect.

Never try to troubleshoot a low cabin pressure warning. Put on your oxygen masks immediately and make an emergency descent. You have only 5-10 seconds of useful O2 in your brain, not 30-60

Miscommunication. If the co-pilot confirmed (replied to the captain) to go around because they were not prepared (ready). To be fair though, sounded like ATC was a bit rushed, but probably because they knew it was the only window for landing. Best to always hold safety as primary and divert which is common, expected, and happens often (usually to saarbrücken or liege). If they were diverted within time this would have been avoided. I'm sure there was a bit of closed-door politics behind the investigation; hot-potatoing and finger-pointing.

Bro, if you fail 4 check rides, you should have to pass 4. This thing where you can just try and try until you finally manage just one safe flight is a disaster waiting to happen.

Recent med evac California circling approach crash but in IMC, I believe. Airlines do not allow circling approach landings. Easy to fall behind fast planes especially when allowing another pilot to become too far behind and take over late. Sad to hear. Easier to call a missed approach and try again vs trying to recover a really poor unstable approach. Complacency is another problem. Mother Nature is not very forgiving with flying mistakes.

I feel bad about the loss of the aircraft. The pilots not so much.

The only thing that shocks me is that a Lear Jet doesnt have an auto throttle. As millennials age they better pray to their soygods the internet doesnt ever go out, lol. The entire earth will loook like Pompei in a thousand years. Billions of people huddled around their kitchen sinks holding their phones praying the water will flow again.

No training? The guy was a flight instructor. This aircraft doesn’t require a type certification. He fucked up and crashed.

I looked at the thumbnail and thought they'd maybe somehow managed to manoeuvre their plane to hover there a few feet over the ground and that everything was okay. Pretty disappointed tbh.
