Looks like you should have bought a Tracer 9. Much more comfortable and the 2025 version has very good lighting and the super y-amt. And Yamaha paint is superb. My tracer 7 looks like brandnew after 8000 km's. The scratches you had on the Suzuki would make me buy never a Suzuki again. Not Yamaha quality.

Hey Doodle. I want to buy a new bike either a scrambler 1200 x or triumph tiger 900 GT Pro. I have a 2014 Scrambler 900 now, and love it but no power especially at highway speeds. Any advice on which one or any plans to drive the scrambler 1200 x? Thanks!

Thanks for the review. I think the cold Nov day may have hindered your suspension/handling experience. The bike is so balanced and confidence inspiring, I can lean it harder than any sport bike I've owned. So quick, so much fun, and comfortable at the same time. Best bike I've ever owned.

Yep, made it affordable on a monthly basis compared to a straight loan and I didn't have the cash to buy it outright. £130 a month with a £1,500 deposit from memory.

It's pretty loud to be fair - especially when you close the throttle, you get some gnarly pops and bans. I didn't ever get attention from the Police though, but I'm in the UK so it might be different here.

Great review, I was on the verge of buying it but luckily you have put me off as I have to ride a few hundred miles a week at night and day and on back roads so need great lights plus spots plus comfort. I also do long distances in France at a minimum of 5 hours after the ferry so this is not going to be my next bike.

For those of you confused of the fuel gauge. It doesn't actually measure the volume what is left. The floater measures the level of the fuel inside the tank not the actual capacity. Think of it like a martini glass or an upside down pyramid. The upper part contains the most volume because it has more area. but since the floater measures the level, then the lower part will contain less volume than the upper level. If its an even shaped like a square then the floater system will be accurate but it ain't like that. Most fuel tank had less capacity on the lower half due to packaging reasons for example on cruisers hiding the back bone of the frame running through in the middle lower part of the tank instead of having extra volume for the fuel.

Hi have a 2024 model. Lovely looking machine but… totally agree with you. 2 hour ride and real coccyx discomfort. Well, a real pain in the butt. Fine for short runs but as a sports tourer, sorry, but no, px on the cards. Only my opinion and not prepared to splash out loads of cash on a ‘comfort seat’. It's OK but the bars are quite wide. Filtering in tight city traffic isn't great but on wider roads it's fine at filtering.

Great video. I’m thinking about selling my RR and buying an MT10SP but this reputation for having crap fuel economy is making me think twice. I suspect I may not be doing many long trips on it so it’s more for fun blasts and occasionally doing a couple of hundred miles so it shouldn’t be a major consideration but it remains a nagging doubt. What year is yours and when riding your bike around and occasionally putting the hammer down, how far have you got until the fuel light has come on…
@averagebikerАй бұрын
Mine's a 2023 (gen 2). I get 110ish to the fuel light normally. I had a 2021 gen 1 before this that got about 100 to the fuel light.

I've had my MT10 for just over 6 years and I almost always fill my bike at home on a paddock stand. I fill into the filler neck and a little time to get the maximum fuel into the tank. I have the Yamaha Touring screen on mine plus the essential Comfort Seat. Last summer (remember that day) my mate on a KTM 890 and I went into mis Wales from just south of Worcester. my mate had to top up his KTM at about 100 miles but I got back home at 146 miles with the light on. I put back into it 15.5 litres to full. There were stretches into Wales where we were well into 3 figures and generally dispatching lots of cars with ease (as an MT10 rider you'll know just how easy that is). My sums make it 42.8 mpg. Now considering just how much we were getting on with it and the fact that your Gen 2 has slightly higher gearing, I don't think that is too bad at all. Obviously for shorter rides it will be less mpg, but I didn't buy this bike to save money on fuel. I think there have been too many people listening to tales from the Yanks where they have silly little 3.8 litre Gallons.
@rtzzz9772Ай бұрын
Thank you for that review. I was considering this bike because on paper, as you mentioned, seemed like has everything. However, seat comfort is something that seems to be ignored by many reviews and I think that is fully off the mark. The seat, as in a car, is an important part of the suspension in the way that it gives comfort/support to the occupant/rider. I have gotten on many bikes and it is immediately obvious to me with i.e. XSR900 for example, that riding that for more than 30 mins, your ass will want an immediate divorce. Sure it will wheelie with a crack of the throttle, but if that is your purpose for owning a street bike, you won't have your license very long. In any case, I have nixed this from my list based on your review and I appreciate the heads up.

There was a tiny dribble of fuel in the outside of the seal when I opened it here - I don't think it's supposed to be on its side. I did the same test with my V-Strom 800 (video coming soon) and kept the bottle upright and it was fine that time

My biggest issues with my GSX are the comfort and the lack of headlights. I'm only good for about 35 minutes before I have to take a break. The headlight or lack thereof scared the crap out of me when I had my first night ride trying to get home from a day ride. Beautiful powerful bike and the best handling bike that I've ever owned but the above issues really hurt it.

To be fair, the accessories are probably cheaper on the European bikes because they are already way overpriced. Most of the accessories should already be in those bikes considering their cost.
