Added the phone mount and bar risers today, then went for a very short ride through the 'hood. Outstanding! Phone GPS is right there without being in the way. Risers change the riding position just enough. Just enough. Thanks for sharing these mods!

Here’s a list of my mods (optimized for touring): Voigt bar risers (higher and closer) Voigt brake line extension-adapter (gives more clearance to brake lines) Barkbuster Aero handguards (very aerodynamic and offer some wind protection) WRS touring smoke windscreen Evotech radiator grille (peace of mind) SBS brake pads (bye-bye wooden feel) Superlight rear sprocket (2 less teeth for lower revs and lower vibration) Evotech GPS mount Koso Apollo heated grips (very much like the expensive OEM’s but way cheaper) R&G frame sliders R&G engine sliders Puig adjustable lower footpegs Dunlop Roadsmart IV tires (55 profile) OMG what a difference! Skene front running and brake lights (bright AF) Healtech Thunderbox fuse block (so everything runs smoothly)

Instead of the standard sliders I bought a super cool set from Vital in New Zeeland. They use both motor mount bolts and are convex wing shaped. They are much sturdier and are supposed to add down force, but I don't know about that. They are way more substantial and look super cool. The price is not cheap and shipping to the US was as much as a cheapy pair than Ebay ones. Next, the stock seat is a GSXR seat and not comfortable on long rides as you pointed out. I installed the Suzuki style seat $150 US. It is about .5 thicker and much better but not great. Finally, I install a set of Trex engine covers about $150 US. Thick plastic and super beefy. I ride pretty hard through So Cal canyons, and I believe in protecting the bike in case of mishaps.

If you replace the spring a special tool is needed that most mechanics dont have. I used a suspension specialist however it only took just over an hour to fit.

I just threw the GX seat on mine and it is absolutely fantastic, webike has it cheaper than any custom seat at about 275~

I ended up getting the higher and wider OEM touring screen from Suzuki for about $170 USD, makes a huge difference when you're 6' or taller. I did add a Puig visor to the top of that, wind noise and buffeting are all but eliminated. The OEM heated grips are WAY too expensive, so I got a set of USB powered grip wraps for $30 USD from Amazon, plugs right into the bike's USB port. I take them off for the Summer, and when it gets into the 40s F here in Colorado I simply slap them back on. Saved $400 USD. I suppose that for shorter riders the bar height might be an issue, with longer arms I'm almost bolt upright with the stock bars and experience no pain... in my arms. My a$$, on the other hand, I'm looking for a seat replacement. It's either the seat or my narrow a$$ that's causing the pain, but the only decent replacement I've found is from Corbin, and it's a really ugly one piece pillion/saddle unit that they want over $600 USD for it. The most expensive mod I added are the Denali D4 lights, $300 USD and $50 USD for the fender mounting kit. They throw an amazing amount of light at night and are very visible during the day as well.

Coming from a sports bike the rear shock is pretty bouncy. I replaced the spring only with a Hyper Pro (about £90 + postage from Holland) and had it fitted. Makes great difference to handling / control. Put on Scorpion Red Power slip on - marginally more noisy but looks better than original exhaust. Finally fitted a MRA spoiler to the screen. Better wind protection but more noise if you have your visor down. All round great bike. 😊

hi I bought the same bike new in april 2022 now having covered 12000 miles and thats with no winter use, love the bike great engine comfy and fast. things I dont like 1 brakes they need a lot of pressure to work well. 2 original tryes now long gone rubbish 3 service costs very high

Ive heard braided lines and better pads transform the braking on the GSX. I dont know where Japanese manafacturers get their brake pads from, but they all seem to be naff stock.

Nice bike, I hope Suzuki makes the Sport Adventure version with this engine or the Hayabusa engine for touring, upright seating position with higher adventure handlebar and taller windshield, V-Strom version but inline four engine, Kawasaki Versys competition. The airbag seat, I have one too, it works better if you fold the airbag inside and push in front, leave the half back empty, it will stop you moving forward towards the tank, you have the cushion where needed the most😂 I have the 2020 GSX 750, raised the handlebar almost 8 inches, Changed the handlebar to tall adventure, changed the cables, touring Piug windshield , no more pain in arms or back, It dose not look sporty but it is way cheaper than upgrading to V-Strom or any other adventure bike at this power.

The one thing I can't find is a rear light replacement that incorporates the turn signal in it so that I can get rid of the ugly stock rear turn signals. If anyone can find one, I'd appreciate it.

Great list, thanks for recommending. Took your advise and bought an EVOTECH mount, it's even better than my expectation. However, I place my phone horizontally, and it prohibited me from seeing the clock on the top-right corner of the TFT screen. Do you have this problem, too?

It the first 20 to 30 feet that is dark. 70mph on a dark road and cant see a possum in front of you,,, heading to work... that'll tight your butthole..lol. Hell, I hit a armadillo one morning,, and yes I was on the bike. Couldn't see it till it was too late. Lucky for me I only ran over it's head... not so lucky for it.

@@redhytech yea it's hard to see stuff when your going fast 😂 70mph is about 112 kmph which is nippy enough on back roads seems to light the road up for me how far ahead do you want to see it the dark animals tend to like deer in head lights anyway they get in the way from what I see in my country at least

As a multiple Bandit owner, past and presently, I also consider the GSX S1000 GT+ to be quite unattractive. In spite of that reasonable observation, I just bought a red 2024 model. Am I, therefore, also required to "move on", you arrogant, easily offended priss?
