I wouldn’t call it picky. That revell chop has always looked funky to me as well.

Good luck with the transportation! When traveling (and hiw the live at home) is to use under the bed totes. I have a few different sizes from ones that fit single layer 4 kits, 8-10 kits and 15-16kits. Slim totes where they can all just sit in the bottom and if needed can use a terry cloth to stack them 2 high.

i need to ship a built model to europe from canada, i’m stressed on how to go about packing it lol. also wonder if foam will damage the paint if touching it to long..

I’d probably put a layer of cloth or paper towel between the model and the foam

Great seeing a video from you again! I have missed you! Lots of toilet paper and soft cloth/ worn t-shirts and packed in a hard plastic box is what i would use for transportation

You may be aware, but I think you may need to run a support on your steering shafts. I have seen a lot of severely modded C10s and they frequently run them. I'm still sanding my 63 Riviera and hope to get paint on it before it's too hot over here in AZ. Keep at it and you'll have it going soon!
@HayAuto3 ай бұрын
Right, I meant to mention that. I’ve seen some brackets with a heim or u joint that bolt or weld to the frame.
@jeffreymiers87933 ай бұрын
Yep, that's what I'm talking about. Not sure the correct term but basically a carrier bearing.

You certainly have got a lot going on especially with a dead line to move I’m into the 50s GM cars and don’t think the rims were different on the 55 and 56 Olds therefore if the 55 cap doesn’t fit neither will the 56 cap on your wheel. Olds wheels?Just trying to help
@HayAuto4 ай бұрын
You may be right, but the design is different between the 55 and 56 and th3 56 looks to have less of an inward "dish". So I guess we'll see!
@sodakmodelcars4 ай бұрын
Big or small its all about test fitting to get it right! Could you get some clay or something and put the caps on the 15x7 with clay in between and then measure off the face and see the clearance/depth needed to see if the 15x6s would work? Just a thought
@HayAuto4 ай бұрын
Good thought, with Summit Racing only 20 minutes away, I'll probably just purchase a 15x6 and see if it works. As long as I don't mount them I can return them. I also put tape on the wheel so the cap doesn't scratch the paint on a test fit.
