Hi Ben. As a masters athlete 56 years old who wants to build strength, how is age factored into the calculator?
@tonytoob41237 ай бұрын
Thank you. I am very happy to have come across this (parts 1-3). Going back to basics - ABSOLUTE STRENGTH.

does the program take age into account?

I signed on to Raw Strength back whenever the pre-sale was and have been going through the content over the last day so. So far everything looks amazing and I'm looking forward to the Test week!

YES! Thanks so much for joining during the pre-sale - can't wait to see your results during the final test week!

Is it possible to access just to the calculator? It would be helpful to know my current status

Quick question @WODprep you said one of the days is more GPP day versus strength. If I already do a good amount of that at my CrossFit class during the week should I just skip that day and focus on the other four days?
@SuperSbeach7 ай бұрын
Does the calculator factor in age for the percentages or just gender and weight ?

Hey thanks for this series, you answered a lot of questions I’ve had for the year I’ve been going to CF. I don’t have five days a week to work out right now. Would raw strength be effective scaled down/compacted into three days, or would I be better off with another one of your programs?

This course is just what I need once I can get back to lifting! Will there be an option if I purchase raw strength to pay the difference & upgrade to the academy at a later date?
@WODprep7 ай бұрын
At the point of purchase, once you join Raw Strength we actually give you an option to upgrade your order to WODprep Academy for $100 off! That's our best deal! However, if for some reason you can't do it, just email support@wodprep.com when you're ready to upgrade and they can take care of you!

Hi Ben, What is the duration of the program in weeks?
@emgrey31437 ай бұрын
That looks truly phenomenal. Obviously a lot of thought and computer work went into this. How well would it truly layer into WODs 4x/week? Concerned I’d be burning my biceps and shoulders out and perform poorly or even unsafely in a MetCon.
@WODprep7 ай бұрын
It would definitely be a lot of volume to add on top of a full normal gym program. If you wanted to keep the 4x WODs per week, you would simply do the 2 first lifts of each session for days 1-4. Skip the rest, including the 5th day. This would prioritize your two weaknesses, and take about 20 minutes per session, 4 days per week. You wouldn't see as much strength progress since you'd be doing more WODs and less true strength development, but it would be a great mix of the two, and you'd still get stronger in your weaknesses!
@emgrey31437 ай бұрын
@@WODprep That is incredibly helpful. Thank you so much!!!! I've been wanting to add in a layer of strength training but haven't found anything that has enough guidance and also works with the WODs. I love my gym and the people and I'm ok taking the long road so that would work great.

To get the most benefit from the program, do you recommend not doing our affiliates metcons and solely doing this program for 9 weeks? I’m just thinking if we are trying to maximize muscle growth during this period then doing metcons on top of this might be counterproductive? What are your thoughts! It looks like an awesome program!
@WODprep7 ай бұрын
Technically, yes to get the most strength adaptation, you'd want to solely focus on this programming for 9 weeks. We wrote it for many of the garage gym athletes who aren't going to a traditional CF Gym. But the LAST thing I want to do is tell you to "leave" your CF gym for 9 weeks. So, you could add your two first lifts from each session (they will be your two weaknesses) for 4 days per week - this would allow you to keep going to CF classes and still get great results. Hope this helps! (note: we have some CF gyms who are hopping on this programming in class for the next 9 weeks, and just adding in a short metcon for all the people who would complain about not doing enough WODs :) )

Hello Ben. All good. Nice video but I’m little confused. What’s the difference between XStrenght and Raw Strenght course? I’m already doing xStrenght, Should I quit and do Raw Strength or I can continue doing it. I think I’m improving with it. Please let me know… Peace!

Hey! WPx Strength ( wodprep.com/programming/strength/ )is designed to be a 3 days per week, 15-20 minute "add on". So that's more of an accessory program. The course, Raw Strength, (wodprep.com/course/raw-strength/ )is a complete training program that focuses on strength, with a friday"cardio" day. So WPx = accessory programming to help you get a little stronger. Raw Strength = a complete training program that gets you SUPER strong in your specific weaknesses and takes 60 minutes, 5 days per week. So it all depends on what you want to do/have time for! Hope this helps!! NOTE: you can add Raw Strength as accessory, but it just takes more time! :)
@WODprep7 ай бұрын
@@oppenheimer11 Raw Strength is technically designed to be followed as its own stand alone program HOWEVER, you can modify the course by only doing the first 2 exercises of each day (which will be your weaknesses), 4 days per week. This would be about 15-20 minutes, 4 days per week. Hope this helps! If you want to follow a shorter, less comprehensive strength program, check out WPx Strength: wodprep.com/programming/strength/

Hi Ben what if rather than adding to a workout day, instead I can commit to 2 or 3 days per week to focus on strength?
@Hailtothe3037 ай бұрын
I am really struggling to build up my back squat/front squat. My deadlift is solid, but even when I have done hatch and two per week sessions with back squat, the PR does not really move up too much (maybe 5lbs per cycle). I have a much stronger right leg than left leg. I wonder if that is halting my progress?
@WODprep7 ай бұрын
Usually "imbalances" work themselves out over time, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. I think since you've only been adding 2x/per week sessions, it might not be enough volume to really build your strength in big chunks. That's why we do 5 days of 60 minutes per session in Raw Strength - it really helps make strength gains quickly when compared to doing small add-on sessions.

I am overweight and trying to lose weight but also want to get strong. I was doing CrossFit for a year and just stopped at the beginning of May because of scheduling conflicts. Would raw strength be good for me or should I lose weight first and then come back to this? Also my husband wants to do Raw Strength as well. Would you be willing to give us a couples' discount?
