No doubt a big reason this film was such a hit was that many were lured by the macabre game of spotting , scene by scene, which shots were of Harlow and which were the double

Great post. Great content with Maureen O'Sullivan. I didn't know she had such a great sense of humor. Still beautiful. Outstanding.

I totally understand why Judy got so angry. She should have vented like that more often. If she would have done that, she would have lived much longer. It’s a crying shame that she didn’t get to see her children hit middle age hood. She would have been a wonderful grandmother. So many wonderful things she could have done for the world.

🤔 I know she had friends who tried to help from time to time, but it’s still puzzling that not one rich actor or other sympathetic person of means was willing to step in and at least pay her back taxes or offer some other similar form of relief. Maybe a few did but she just kept sinking too fast to bail her out, but, seriously, how much debt and how fast was it snowballing…? She didn’t know any millionaires? At least pay for her to take a vacation once in a while and heal up a little. 🌈 So strange.

In my high school Junior, and Senior years I performed this monologue as Tom Wingfield solo. I got an A+, and a standing ovation from everyone in the class including the teacher both times. It was more or less my go to if I needed to get a good grade. I didn't like falling back on it, but I'm ADHD and I have an abusive kidnapper Matriarch as my childhood so I was born to perform roles like this. I just channel all my real trauma and emotion into it form HER, and it becomes almost easy. . . almost.

I love her. I wish I had been alive in her time and financially able to take care of her. I would have bailed her out in a second if I had been a Kennedy friend or a Hollywood friend. She needed a debts paid fresh start.

Oh wow. Jeez. You can hear how tired, angry, and bitter she is with everyone here, especially in her scathing sarcasm. Judy probably wanted pretty strongly to say this in public, but couldn’t bring herself to do so.
@flannerymonaghan-morris48255 ай бұрын
My god. She sure had a heartbreaking story. And worse still? She’s not unique in her story. At all. Countless others are like her. Poor Judy. You can hear how depressed and how fed up she was with everything. Jeez.

Judy was more Christian than many of the so called Christians. She did right by publicly defending herself. The entertainment industry was nasty to her. I say this about her regularly, I know that she is an angel in Heaven!

So the kennedy Assassination brings me here ... Judy garland and Kennedy. Judy garland confessed... A named named D Wilson wrote the original hommage to Judy garland and Kennedy but media’s spun it to a Os shooting with magical trajectories and replaced Judy with jackie ..

Its so sad that people did not see her behavior as characteristic of a late stage alcoholic and drug addict who literally grew up being fed amphetimines and sleeping pills. Her nervous system and mental clarity were shot and her language reflects that. Its a sin that no one in Hollywood bothered to take responsibility for what happened to young performers like her and tried to get her into a hospital that treats severe addiction.

Since Jane and Tarzan weren’t married the Breen production code made them “ find a son” instead of Jane giving birth to a son.
