This was so tragic. I come back to it and watch it now and then to remind me of the mortality of life and how much it hurts to lose a beloved pet.

This cat reminds me so much of my cat. He was a black and white tuxedo cat named Loki just like this one. He had a pink nose, pink inside his ears as well as green eyes. He was sweet, affectionate and playful just like this cat. I had him for 4 years and had to put him to sleep due to kidney failure. That was one of the hardest things I have every had to do. I visualize him in heaven.

I got my Rosie from Texas Humane Heroes a local rescue. She always knows when I'm coming home and always is happy to see me. She's a little void with a white tuft under her chin. Utterly adorable.

It's sad dude cats don't deserve to be in cages all day 24/7 I just hope the government wakes up one day and make a change animals deserve better living conditions cats deserve to go out for a while than go back in the cage😢

Sad to hear about Sparta and Loki. I watched Mean Kitty so many years ago and came back to see more now and then. But, last time you were in Alaska, and that was lovely to see more of too. Tonight I thought of you, your family and Sparta and wondered how everyone was doing. I did wonder if Sparta were still around or aging well for a cat. He is certainly a cat who won't be forgotten in music, film, and even a book about him. Best of all, he had a great family with you and your wife and children. A wonderful life and a lasting legend of the Mean Kitty.

I'm sorry man. I had a cat also named Gadget that passed away in early 2021. He didn't cuddle with me much because my brother was his person, but a night or two before he died he got up onto my bed and curled up next to me for over an hour.

Cory, I don’t know if you remember me telling you about my cat Tigger but a year ago he died. It was the worst day of my life. He was lying on the couch, he jumped off and walked to the China cabinet and let out a painful cry and just died. I didn’t have enough time to get him to the vet. What was worse is my great-nieces and nephews were there and they saw him die too. Alice took it the hardest. I know that pain, my friend. Sparta was such a good cat. I thought of Sparta today, and went to find the Mean Little Kitty song. My kids just loved him when they were little. It's been years since we've listened, and I came across your goodbye video. RIP sweet boy. I know it's been 3 years, but you sure were loved!! Hugs Cory!

I didn't manage to watch any longer than to minute 2. The idea, that some of these lovely cats will be euthanized just makes me sick. Luckely in Germany the Tierheime do not yet have to do that, but the situation is getting worse, too. All these poor pets in the shelters are nothing but the result of a huge lack of responsibilty caused by humans. So, whenever you think of buying a pet: Go and adopt one instead!
