@@PurposeBuiltMoto smart. I love custom builds and messing around with old school bikes. super slick build! Really clean, and the upgrades are thoughtfully implemented. Really turned it into almost a retro offroadable grom toss it around and dont worry about it! love it

Should go belly pan. Something about no belly pan takes away from symmetry of sport bike. Naked bike still needs belly pan to create that point under the radiator
@PurposeBuiltMoto8 күн бұрын
We played around with belly pans, but couldn’t find one or create a shape that suited the retro styling. They all made the bike look too modern

Awesome I have always wondered what happens to the bucket of spaghetti when you install the LED Headlights.
@mechanicalman453126 күн бұрын
These lights are way to small. They are so close to the bodywork they can be obstructed at certain angles making it impossible for other road users to see they are even on. There is a reason proper indicators have stand offs to push them away from the bodywork. As a result these indicators are a safety hazard for the rider and should be avoided.
@PurposeBuiltMoto26 күн бұрын
Strange they’ve been selling like hotcakes then. Our riders can mount them however they like for safety and compliance purposes

If you are messing up stripping those wires all the time, perhaps try a set of wire strippers. That technique has its place, but you are not an electrician and that's not a house!
@kiztime123427 күн бұрын
Also consider the NT-040 connectors (you can buy them from Eastern Beaver) in 2 and 3 pin types. You won't have to do any weird stuff to the bare wire, just crimp it twice (conductor and insulation). If you have a look on their site you will also see they have JST connectors if you prefer a sealed connector. The profile of the NT-040 will go through a mounting hole though which is very handy for things like indicators with a single mounting point.
@PurposeBuiltMoto27 күн бұрын
Well I am an electrician, and the wire strippers tend to damage cables this small. This technique is the best I’ve found for everyday users, to make the proper connection with terminals readily available outside the trade
@kiztime123426 күн бұрын
@@PurposeBuiltMoto Sorry I wasn't meaning to imply "You're no electrician buddy", just that this isn't a house and you're not doing a house electricians job so maybe the house electrician way of stripping the wires isn't the best. I strip a lot of 28-32AWG wires with a wire stripper and I never have to do them over, and it really matters if it's a ribbon of a few dozen of them! I would really encourage you to find some fine wire strippers and give those JST or NT040 connectors a look too. They're easy to fit and rated for automotive use.

Curious of why the step down from 18" (the interceptor runs 18s if I'm not mistaken?) to 17" on the wheels? Doesn't that mess with the ABS and speedo? I installed a 120/90 front tire (110/70 stock) on my Hunter and even that sidewall change completely threw off my speedo\abs, so I had to go do down back to 120/70 scorpions (which sadly look like sausages compared to a 120/90 heidenau k60 scout)

Some interesting aspects to this bike. My Honda Innova (ANF125) has a tail tank like that one. I like the change of wheels / change of style, I might try that myself (on the Innova!), also the easy luggage removal. Was the handling so bad that it had you all over the road like that? Not good..
