Hi Phil, you will need to port the head if not done. With bigger turbo you will be out of flow from 2.6 Bar and onward. We peaked at 590HP with a “basic” head port, so maybe you will need a deep head port to go further. (I’m talking with 98RON pump gas, on ethanol numbers will be much higher obviously).

Remember that wider tires not necessarly mean more grip, specially with the same rim with. You can even feel it more slugish with wider tires. There are some youtube videos explaining and doing tests showing this.

@@DanielHernandezBC depends on suspension setting. You don‘t get automatically more grip, you need to setup the suspension alignment and settings accordingly.

Hey Phil a few of us Aussies have had issues with the surge tank... seems the factory in-tank pump isn't at full duty and doesn't fill the surge tank quick enough. Not sure if it's a Motec thing or a Toyota thing. Seems to be a brushless motor not getting the full 12V so you need a work-around. I'm thinking an override switch or something.

450hp at the wheels? What torque?

@@heathlett275 no idea what that‘d be on the wheels or what torque. 😁 We‘ll see as soon as the car is finished. 😉

Is the dream of an in-tank fuel pump solution gone?
@RotheliRacing9 күн бұрын
@@jaxomliam yes. To complex to have it programmed with OEM ECU, maybe possible with Syvecs or Motec. But it doesn‘t solve our problem with fuel starvation on a half full tank, so we decided to go with the Nuke Surge Tank.

@@RotheliRacing surge tank placement with safe enclosures to meet motorsport regulations is a bit of a headache but I understand there's no easy fix, I will probably stop waiting and start thinking about where to put it.

@@RotheliRacing hah me too! Well at least I'm glad the stock fuel system can handle what most people do with the car up to about a hybrid turbo... there really needs to be an in tank solution where the fuel can be run down to near 0 without issues
@RotheliRacing8 күн бұрын
@ good luck with that. You‘ll need a lot of additional internal baffeling for that. We tried tank foam and it didn‘t help at all.

@ How about an additional dedicated in-tank fuel pump for the port injectors only?

@ also a programming thing. Might be possible on a Syvecs or Motec, but nothing for a standard user.
