I'm surprised you never mentioned but he was constantly getting baited into Vlad whenever he had his third stack on his Q, he could've done so much better every trade if he just stayed nearby instead of going in whenever Vlad walked up

so uhm hard to tell why exactly he started q but i can say what my reasoning is to start q sometimes in those matchups. Some players actually think about their runes and they start to take boneplating vs ekko which makes the e lvl 1 start really not optimal so i tend to take q and try to proc the bone plating first before going in on a 50/50 trade if they have it or not. Hard to tell what runes tf took here (i could watch when he presses tab if tf took resolve or not but i couldnt be bothered xD)

Ekko jg since changes has been a struggle… like genuinely a fucking struggle. I went from plat 1 end of last season with a 60% wr to silver 2 with a 40~ wr, all these damn new tank items/lethality items are so stupidly broken

Lich bane 1st is just best everygame atm 2nd item nashor is defenetly more dmg than rocketbelt but in some match ups the hp and the dash from rocketbelt have alot of value Also you get rabadon 3rd 500g faster if you went rocketbelt instead of nashors tooth Both builds feels good enough that it might just depend on preference and match up but lich bane is so good its 100% best 1st item

I think against good tf players u would want to start q because they will not usually waste w to give u a window lvl 1. Q+Scorch dmg can hit reliably tho with no risk to get some chip dmg

It almost seems like u made this video just to poop on the build. I've been running this b4 this video to great success. rocket belt is a great ekko build but this is also. You don't always have to rely on lichbane procs or missing your passive when you connect and miss your q because hail of blades with nashor will get it done. Ability haste on ekko is massive and way more favored in my experience.

But I recommend his build. Forget the other stuff. Get used to the playstyle und u will see the difference in power

Xia told me portobello is just not good anymore. He doesn’t like it at all. And i feel the same. I see a lot of Ekkos on EUW still holding on to it. And i see how low damage there are compared to Xiaos build. It’s not even close. I recently tried going tank items as 4th item option like jaksho cause it’s already enough damage. Only if I don’t need the pen from void. But I can go that as lost option. Because Adcs like mf have soo much damage also and go tank items as well.

Ekkos kit reminds me very much of a boxer... you have to set traps and know the right time to go all in, deal damage and then weave in and out using your passive mode speed and E dash. I love his kit a lot.
