I just finished looking up the new regs for trail cams in Utah. In the article I read, they mention several times that they do not want "transmitting cams" to be used. From what I can extrapolate, they are concerned about someone canvassing an area with transmitting cams that call their phone when they are tripped and then stream footage in real time, so you not only know exactly where the deer is, but how big he is, etc. They also mention that there are people who are selling the footage and location to other hunters. I do get the feeling that there is more to it. that they don't want hunters to have any "unfair advantages" in locating game animals. This is why they banned the use of drones and two way raidos during hunting seasons.
