This is probably my favorite doors song and I feel a true drunken masterpiece from the great dyonisian poet James Douglas Morrison that being said it was written and performed by a man whom I understand at the time of recording was about three bottles of whiskey deep and the studios brought in groupies to give him oral pleasure to keep him in the recording booth and when he says it’s getting harder we’ll he meant it

The h is silent in heir. Many great tracks on that album. Really the last album of theirs that I completely liked. Wasn't as interested in the new direction.

This is their worst performance ever. It the only saved on image. But........... even at their worst, the Doors have something... they are far out from any other band......

You just made my day. Glad to see You back bro! Im actualy going to see Riverside in London( UK) this Sunday! Wish I could recommend any songs but there are soo many, I cant pick one. If You want something new to listen to in this proggy, yet emotional music I would deffinitely reccomend Steven Wilson( Hes actualy a good friend with Mikel the singer from Opeth) . Albums " Hand cannot erase" and " Raven that refused to sing" are sooo good. Im sure You would like them!

I'm getting to see them this summer 😊 (and do agree on Steven Wilson - and Porcupine Tree of course)

I have a more surreal taste in music, I guess. So Strange Days, song and album, hit me like this album hits some people. But this album became my favorite, over Strange Days. Nobody could write poetry like Jim, and the music permeated from that.

The term you may be searching for is avant garde. The Doors were so original that they didn't even understand themselves.

WOW! This is the worst proformance of when the music’s over ever, look up live performances in Europe they have one show where they performed live on video some of their best songs.

You have to take a listen to individual and all songs of Protest the Hero through their album Fortress. What you're expressing at 8:56 is right in their box. Or even Symphony X - The Odyssey, Periphery - Alpha/Omega, Rush - 2112, Yes - Close to the Edge, Haken - Visions. There's so much for you to explore in the prog world. Welcome to the club of crushing your brain by delving deeper and deeper into a sonic story

Their newest album is very different. The first song called Friend or foe is like a slap in the face from the 80’s. It’s a perfect 80’s song made in 2023. If you do it, you need to do the full version as the original video released is shortened.

Mariusz Duda vocalist and bass player is an extremely talented musician and composer. Other than Riverside, he has side projects. The most popular being Lunatic Soul. They're both bands worthy of your time. I have a request though from a different band that I hope you'll react to. It's a different beast than Riverside, but because you like Opeth I think you enjoy it. I'm not saying they sound like Opeth, but they have clean and growl vocals. Here is it with the link below. This should be everyone's intro to Opeth. And music in general. Like, pre-natal listening should be required by law.

My neighbors hate me from today on because of the many times I had to turn the volume way up and then the music kicked in blasting through everything in the building. But great video man! Keep them coming. Really nice appreciation from your side.

I remember that when I heard this song around the year 96, it was the first song I heard from them, I was in my early twenties and I fell in love with their sound, the line of guitars and that wonderful bass... .. I remember that I even took it out on the guitar, and I even recorded it, taking it all out by ear because I don't like to depend on the scores, I think that when you tune your ear well you can achieve wonders, and you also enhance your talent as a musician. .. greetings bro!!!
