This is my first Opeth song. I heard it in 1999 I think. Had a rift in my head for months. Couldn't figure it out. This song was on its record label compilation album for promotion of its bands. I was doing an underground radio show back then. I had to go through these cds trying to figure out this song I had stuck in my head. Found it. Opeth changed everything musically for me after that.

This is by far the best Opeth album for me, the opener April Ethereal and The Amen Corner carry the same eerie vibes. The watershed album also has a similar vibe.

Awesome! Cool to hear your thoughts on this track, this whole album has a very unique atmosphere. A full Opeth album reaction would be really interesting to see. This album and especially Still Life are often mentioned among their best work and are concept records that tell a story so maybe one of them would suit well for it!
