I'm guy and I love sailor moon. I adore her and love cosplaying as well myself of some of the characters. Even did darker versions of the sailor scouts. As if they went to the dark side. As cosplay.

what a piece of crap video. why did you even waste your own time reading off the first page of a google search? there is no insight or original thought in 20 minutes of babble, I guess that is impressive...

One important moment about Sailor Moon is that villains are also strong women. Men are only side characters.

ONE is one of the best cartoonists I’ve ever seen tbh. I’ve read manga where the artist has plenty of technical drawing skills but really just falls flat when it comes to layouts and visual storytelling. But Mob Psycho 100 is one of those gems that never loses its impact no matter how many times I reread it. Some of the page turns still give me chills to this day. ONE has a really amazing cinematic eye, along with his amazing comedic timing and visual gags lol. There’s never a disconnect between the humor and those intense emotional moments. Nothing feels contrived or exploitative. Just total sincerity, and so readers can’t help but approach it with sincerity, too. People have really rigid ideas about what “good” cartooning (and animation, too) looks like, but I actually really prefer ONE’s art to Murata’s, if I’m being honest. Looking back at how he drew Fubuki and Tatsumaki in his webcomic, I’m always shocked at how much more… character they have. Those heavy black contrasts in Fubuki’s hair and dress really give the impression of an intense and troubled person. And Tatsumaki being drawn as such a silly looking character is so effective as an aspect of why Fubuki is so terrified of her. Tatsumaki is so powerful that everything is trivial to her. But the way that Murata draws them… He’s a very talented guy. But it’s just not the same. I don’t need Fubuki and Tatsumaki to be beautiful. I need to feel what they’re feeling.

The Sailor Moon Manga was really meditated and thought of. The story depicts stories of the Greek Gods, Christianity, and Japanese Mythology of course. This is such an inspirational and epic story that will last forever. Thank you for creating this wonderful series. I hope to see it in my next lifetime.

Why do 98% of all anime characters look white. Yes, they always say the character is asian but those features : blue eyes, blonde hair, straighten nose. Those aren’t general asian features

I remember seeing bits of sailor moon as a kid in the 90s, but didn't watch due to being " For Girls." Fast forward 30 years, during the global pandemic, I watched the Viz dub of Sailor Moon as well as Crystal, and Ive come to really enjoy it. I love the visual style and musical score of the 90's series, but I enjoy the updated series for being more true to the source material and having more layered characters. To me, Sailor Moon ( along with Dragonball Z) paved the way for anime to flourish in the west. It's always interesting to learn about the creators behind these awesome IPs

I don't really enjoy shoujo manga/anime, but Sailor Moon was so empowering, especially because Usagi was so clumsy and ditzy like I am. It's nice to see that she rises into her strength, as it's a natural growth that happens to girls as we see the power we truly have. The next best shoujo comic is Peach Girl. She overcame her dark skin to understand her own beauty, another trope that I related to deeply as a mixed race American. Naoko Takeuchi is one of the legends of comics and feminism too.

Growing up sailor moon was like super man is to boys. My super heroine, girls that are not one dimensional, they cry, they fight, they care about important things but also about boys. They fight in heels and pretty clothes. Just like lots of us do in our everyday life. 💖💖🎀🌸💐💝 you can be powerful and beautiful. I love that there’s at least one character girls can identify with.

She was groundbreaking. When they question her making Uranus and Neptune lesbians, she held her ground and Togashi backed her up. Also, can we talk about how she married Togashi, yuyu Hakusho and hunter x hunter. That's a power couple
