Something that I always find very interesting about Junji Ito is his thought process. Like how he can make something that is initially simple to something of a horrific nature

I think he is also one of the best modern day artists internationally in general. There are some panels of things I have never seen

Thank you for this, for many seeing Junji work everywhere seems so normal which is great! It’s so nice to go to most bookstores and be able to find Uzamaki and the Drifting classroom but it took along time for him to make headway in the east. I’ve been into manga since the 90s and it wasn’t until 2010’s that he started to see popularity beyond Japan. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for watching! It's nice to see him be loved by so many! His stories are truly unique and terrifying but in the best way possible. I've actually seen a lot of his stuff sold out recently too so he's only gaining more attention!

i'm a scaredy cat but i'm really drawn to the paranormal and occult. the first manga i read from junji ito was the amigara fault then uzumaki next. i was like “woah. this guy's mangas are amazing! wonder where i could find more of them." eventually, i found myself reading more of his works including the tomie series, long dream, hanging balloon, slug girl, and glyceride. the only one i hadn't read was hellstar remina.

He's honestly so great! It's such a weird feeling to enjoy his work so much even when it's so scary haha

I always cringe when people comment "wow I didn't realize this channel has (x amount) of subscribers, I thought I watched a video from a channel with (x amount) of subscribers because of how high quality the video is" because the amount of subscribers does not indicate quality but wow now I get it, was very surprised when I saw this only had 231 views, it really did feel like a video by a channel with hundred thousands of views. I feel like you're channel has great potential to get bigger, this was a good in depth video on Junji Ito and a clear one too with no unnecessary/ distracting editing and nicely selected clips and screenshots (not trying to sound like a snobby critic or something, just wanted to praise some stuff that I liked haha). Really enjoyed it, the one on the creator of One Punch Man was also a fun watch. Thank you for the great content!

also thank you for getting straight into it instead of doing a long winded intro, stooping low by asking to subscribe, comment, like, hit that mf bell and not break the flow of the video with an ad read in the beginning or middle (I know, no ad read at all, just wanted to point this out because its so annoying). This shows some real class.

I haven't seen any of Ito's works since I have not really ever been a fan of the horror genre. Nonetheless I found all 18 minutes of your video to be very entertaining. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work.👍🏻

@@themangoose you're welcome! Honestly, when I saw your number of views I was a bit shocked. It's very low for such a good quality of video

Ok I’m dying to know… are you the same guy from the Japanalysis channel? If not the voice resemblance is uncanny.
