Our set of Ingenio was purchased when originally introduced in the late 90's, and we've never had a handle get damaged, or melted, and we use ours on a gas range. I liked the set so much that I purchased a backup set in 2001 that we have not used any of the pots and pans yet. We have added one more handle from the newer set to have the option of having 3 handles available, and replaced a couple of the plastic "rubbermaid style" storage lids, as they did wear out with steady use. Our handles all look brand new, and function perfectly after over 20 years of use. On the gas range, I'm always careful not to turn up a burner to the point where flames are engulfing the bottom sides of any pot or pan, because it's simply hazardous, and a waste of gas. I normally don't leave the handles on the pots when in use, but when I'm cooking anything that will require stirring, mixing, etc... I do leave them on most of the time. Never damaged any of them.

What can you do to get to those?

Obviously you normally leave the handle on when cooking... don't know if she removed them while cooking for the video or will reattached them later on

@@kalli71 There's 2 handles in a set. I've had a set of the original Ingenio since the 90's, and the non stick is still performing well. I do use wooden, and resin spatulas and spoons however. The handles don't scratch the non stick coating very noticeably, and the scratches that are created are in the uppermost half inch of the pot or pan that rarely has any food to clean from them. I liked the Ingenio set so much, that I purchased a second set as a backup, on a great offer (2001), and I have yet to use any of the pots, or pans yet, but I did take one extra handle from the newer set (so we would have 3). Being rid of the handles on the stovetop makes for zero opportunity to accidentally catch a shirt sleeve, or hitting another pot handle when handling a pot. When I need to stir, whip, etc... just put the handle on, and take it off when finished working with the food in the pan. It's no effort, and only a second of time to put the handle on, or to take it off.

Hey, idk if this is still relevant to you but I had the same problem with mine and as it turned out there is a small hole on the inside of the bottle cap and on it there's supposed to be a small black rubber cap covering it. The problem for me was caused by that rubber cap falling off.

The problem was fixed by simply putting it back on. Though by now you've either lost it or figured it out on your own😄

you mustn't have left it in the fridge long enough. I did the fridge test last night and left it in the fridge for 24 hours. To my surprise it went cloudy and started to solidify, which is what REAL EVOO is supposed to do when refrigerated.

We've been using our set since the late 90's, on a gas range, and never damaged, or melted a handle yet. But the handles are very simple and easy to put on, or take off, and with a bit of familiarity, it only takes about one second.

I bought this set and we use a paper towel between saucepans when we store them. Seems to work well.

consider buying protector mats meant for stacking pans. They're really easy to manage and will extend the life of the product. I've seen them in felt and silicone.
