Hello and welcome to this series which will look into various elements of Kingdom Death: Monster with a focus on both strong "meta" strategies and also how to make more goofy and fun options work, because it's not a board game if you are not having fun!
In this video we will be looking at the base game settlement location that is unlocked via a good roll after defeating the Butcher.

White lion mask has a really great application for the Gambler constellation in a PotS campaign. Very situational, but if you have a survivor with Red Fist you are now able to perform survival actions with those strength tokens while Immortal! That's if my reading of the interactions is correct at least. Taking the concept further, I combined the silk boots, scarab circlet, and blast sword (or ideally Deathpact) to be able to generate insanity + strength/survival every turn for my Gambler. Bypassing Immortal's downside this way has made one of my most fun builds to date.

I have played through several campaigns and never once got the mask maker. I really wish this location and all of these unusual pieces of gear were more accessible.

I am finally up to date on this series! Have enjoyed it a lot. Definitely think you've undersold the White Lion mask a little. I rate it third behind the Death and Antelope. Red Fist, free surging from Sweet Battle, some ways to gain survival each turn, etc. I feel being able to supercharge a survivor strength has a place! Looking forward to the next episode!
