Wow! That looks like a nice setup! Definitely cheaper in cost to make that the traditional training centers. Of course in Kansas (A right to work state and not trapped by unions) the rural fire departments just find an old abandoned rural house and use it for training (after making it safe) and then just burn it to the ground when it gets too far gone to use anymore. However, I'll have to pass this on to a neighbor who is on the rfd to see what he thinks. Thanks for the video Container Guy and all of those working hard to make these awesome videos!❤

I'm interested in stairs to go with a 40 ft hc. (Similar to in this video, that would take you right up to the roof. So I could build a deck) Are those hard to find for sale? Do you know average costs for the stairs?

A local fabrication shop made them, might need to look into a shop local to you for the best price.

I wish other communities would pay attention to this the video. Fire departments are draining communities out of taxpayer funds spending money on multi million dollar fire houses multi million dollar training facilities, million dollar fire trucks it is absurd. Sadly, volunteer fire departments used to be the hub of communities now they are the bane of communities with their outlandish play for political pay expenditures. Mini but not all fire departments can barely exist, because of regulations often pushed through by the unions to benefit themselves as opposed to supporting the people. They actually serve. Unions today believe they . are to be served not the communities should be served. That’s the truth. Instead of paying one firefighter $100,000 a year why not get 10 volunteers to be offered a $10,000 tax depreciation on their property tax bill for joining the fire department. Oh wait then the politicians couldn’t control the vote…

I think its funny that people think things cost so much because of unions, who want firefighters to be trained well, supplied with safe good equipment, and pay to support a middle class family, that cause of the downfall of our society. Who mandates the requirements for fire apparatus or station design? What about training buildings? Nation Fire Protection Agency, NFPA 1901. Federal government regulations. What about NFPA 1971 that says you should wear fire gear that causes cancer, polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFAS), chemicals linked to increased cancer risk and other health effects? The federal government came up with a standard for safety and firefighters don't become firefighters to die in the line of duty. How much is your life worth and are you willing to lay it down for your fellow man? YES? Then lets' not be stupid and lets Train and get good equipment. If any of you firefighters go to walleyes house make sure you show up in an old cheep firetruck. Remember its cheaper to let a house burn to the ground than it is to use expensive equipment and overpaid GED grads. Its funny how insurance will give you a creeper insurance rate if you have a well trained and equipped fire service. Funny its almost like its cost effective to save life and property, at least the Insurance industry thinks so.
