Personally, everytime i hear the name Henrik Lundqvist, Sabres' Hasek (not Red Wings Hasek) always comes to mind...Both were insanely dominant with S Tier level saves in their primes on offensively challenged teams. Then again, maybe being on that kind of team brought out the best in them.
@KetaProductions25 күн бұрын
Interesting point in that last sentence. Perhaps being on a powerhouse of a team, any rebounds they give up would already be cleared, so no need to make that next save!

Quick correct to this 3 year old video, Kariya’s first return to Honda Centre was not Selanne’s retirement night. Shockingly he was not there, but it was later clarified that Kariya had already made plans and couldn’t attend. Of my knowledge: his first appearance was November 20, 2017 as the ducks had a hockey hall of fame night to commemorate Kariya and Selanne getting inducted into the Hall. Fun fact about Nov 20-2017: During said celebration, owner of the ducks Henry Samueli hinted at Kariya’s jersey retirement by making an observation that “Selanne’s #8 looked lonely in the rafters”

He's not a lock HOFer. HE's one of those standing at the window. If you look at the all-time point list, he has 1032 and thats where the HOF kind of stops, at 1100points. Some around him in scoring are in, but they had the hardware or were important to their teams. Mogilny was a hot shot, but burnt a lot of bridges with his teams in the 1990s. He was hot in a few season, but very sporadic in the rest due to injuries.
